It’s October. Why not a creepy doll tale? Especially one with an exotic flavor. The Thai spirit dolls, as featured more famously in Travels with My Father show and now this novella, are creepy specifically due to their lifelike qualities. And now she has to figure out a way to defy Miss Manners and return this gift before it’s too late. So that’s the basic plot, fairly straight forward. Never read or heard of the author prior to this, the writing is…serviceable, has that by the numbers quality amateur work sometimes does, a certain stiltedness or unnatural rigidity to narrative and dialogue, but it is perfectly readable and, notably especially when it comes to freebies, appears to professionally edited. All in all a reasonably entertaining quick read that spotlights an interesting foreign (to people outside of Thailand that is) cultural tradition.

This book was awesome , I couldn't put it down. The ending left me wondering if possibly there is a 2nd book continuing. If not that's okay too. I plan on reading books by his author. 😀 This book was awesome , I couldn't put it down. The ending left me wondering if possibly there is a 2nd book continuing. If not that's okay too.
