It is properly bound, but it does have a handmade quality to it. For example, most of the pages are greyed a little and the text a little fuzzy, like something that has been Xeroxed too many times. (You can see that on the cover, even.) This may be purposeful though. For someone who wants an adult or m I won this here on Goodreads. For someone who wants an adult or meditative coloring book but is intimidated by some of the sharp, overly-polished ones coming out these days, this is probably a good match. The focus on 'space'- both positive and negative and using color in these spaces to create effects is informative. Information regarding color and its use is explored in beginning activities. The author, Michelle G. Murelli, includes positive affirmations and prompts that encourage personal development on many of the pages designed for coloring. If allowed, I would have rated this 3.5, as the coloring pages are sometimes too similar. Remember, this is my first adult coloring book and this may be a characteristic of the genre.
