When It's Right When Shane Greenly left his home in Casper Mountain, Wy, he was leaving more than just the closet. He needed a fresh start to pursue his dream of running a dog training ranch without having to deny who he really is. Meeting Alex was one of the best things that could have happened to Shane. They were at the beginning of a wonderful relationship when the unthinkable happened and Shane had to leave. The consequences of his past mistakes could not be hidden any longer. When I'm Weak Jamie presents a flamboyant and slutty attitude to the world because he's been hurt before. Even though it's mostly an act, he hides behind his persona to keep people at arm's length. With only a small group of trusted friends, he's vowed to never allow a man to have power over him again. Power to hurt him. Power to take away his freedom. Power to label him as a predator for the rest of his life. Reed and his sister run a home preschool for toddlers. His focus is on getting credentialed so he can take some of the burden from Lucy. He doesn't have time for friends, much less a lover, but when he meets Jamie, he recognizes something in the man that makes him want to get closer. Unfortunately, Jamie's past prevents him from truly integrating into Reed's future. It's not just a matter of the heart. It's a matter of the law. For Mature Readers

2.5 stars These didn't quite work for me. I found the stories a bit trite. Sometimes insta-love works for me but I didn't feel the chemistry between these characters. Even the sex seemed rote. On the other hand, there is a sneak peek at book three and it seems like it will be much more dependent on book 2. I listened to these books on Audible. Each had a different narrator. The narration for the second book was a little better than the first but I can't say either were great. The second narrator had more distinct voices but a couple of them sounded like female voices. It was off-putting. Even though these were not my "thing", if you like low-angst, cute and happy novellas with a few graphic sex scenes, then you will enjoy these simple but pleasant books.

Simple and lovely. Reader beware: unintentional sex with a minor; an additional instance of unreported sexual assault. This story, across the two novels, was simple but lovely. I genuinely liked Jamie and Reed, and will soon read book 3.

Once again Aria Grace creates true, honest characters that the reader cannot help but feel for. I cannot wait to read more of this series. When I'm Weak With a secret in his past, Jamie slides through life as a bartender and as a flamboyantly gay man. With his different personas no one really knows the true Jamie. That is until he meets Reed and the two have an instant attraction. But with a sex crime on his record, Jamie knows he has to stay away from Reed because he is a preschool teacher. But can love conquer everything in his past and can having great friends help clear his name? This story was an emotional one. Being falsely accused and losing everything in your future really made the reader understand why Jamie never let anyone in. It was an amazing journey to read.

Waaay better than I expected Full disclosure, I tend not to like M/M romance books because they seem too much like a fetish and the sex scenes feel like they're thrown in just for the sake of titillation. Here, it closed organically. It's like it couldn't have happened any other way. That out of the way, I really enjoyed this book. Book One, Alex and Shane, showed the development of a relationship and the roadblocks getting there. Quite the ending with the two of them getting everything they wanted, but not rushing things, even waiting on certain things until the end. Book Two, Jamie and Reed, was also great. I forgot we'd already met Jamie in the first book. At the start, I was ready to think Book One was a fluke. It seemed to be a completely different style. I was fooled. It was necessary setup for what was to come. Really loved the backstory here, particularly in regard to Jamie. The resolution to our all was beautiful. Bonus: we got to see where things went with Alex and Shane. They were not at all a focus on this book but we do see how things turn out for them. I'd definitely have to recommend this book. I'm usually loathe to give 5 stars but I was eager to keep reading. Even that happens, I know I've found a great book.

A great pair of novels. Shane and Alex bond quickly after Alex brings his dog into his vet's office with a broken leg. Neither of them can believe what the other sees in them initially, but any attempt to keep their relationship strictly professional falls flat. Secrets in Shane's past threaten to pull them apart until Shane learns to  trust Alex. In the second novel we again encounter the flirty Jamie who was briefly introduced in the first novel. He's in Denver to start over when he meets Reed. A great pair of novels. Shane and Alex bond quickly after Alex brings his dog into his vet's office with a broken leg. Reed's very profession could stop their relationship in its tracks as Jamie's past indiscretion and entrapment by a minor conflicts with Reed's goal of becoming an Early Childhood Educator. Shane and Alex unwittingly throw these two together and Jamie takes the risk of explaining his situation and together they look for a resolution.  Great stories both.

Sweet fast reads 2 books for the price of one or for free really. The first story about Alex and Shane is so sweet. I hate poor communication but eventually it is worked out. What a secret Shane has! The second book has yet another huge secret that Jamie is afraid to share with anyone. Thank God he has good friends and Reed to see the true him. I want to know more about what happens with Abby now though. I'll keep reading and maybe find out! Sweet fast reads 2 books for the price of one or for free really. #1 4 stars.. I didn’t expect that this will be good, I can’t stop reading.. I’m glad it was HEA.. #2 4 stars.. Well it was HEA I’m glad! I just want to comment about Jamie’s parents.. As a mom I can’t fathom why they have to abandon their child when he needed them the most and just dropped him and his future just like that.. I can’t! I’m happy that Jamie have friends who cared for him and a lover like Reed..

The narrator of the first story in this box set was decent but I would rate his narration as a four and the second narrator at a five. These stories are fairly short, but very engaging. Slowly through each book we meet more of this community of friends living in Colorado. At the end of each book, you definitely want to read (or listen to) the next.

These books were so much fun to read... I devoured them in no time. The Mile High Romance series follows the lives of several adult, gay men. I love how each book builds off a character we meet in the previous book. The stories are intriguing and the sex is oh so steamy. A definite must read for lovers of male male romance.

This was so sweet and fun to read. The books do follow each other so it's best to read book 1 then 2. but it doesn't seem to be a total necessary. I loved the characters in both tthese stories. I loved the issues they ran into . I loved the love and happiness and how they chose love over anything else. This was amazing. I am so glad I got to review it This was so sweet and fun to read. Very touching stories I like Aria Grace's writing very much. Her stories are full of complicated and well-thought-out characters. Great storylines and, if course, sex. What more can you ask for? Total head spin I've read a lot of books and there are few that can bring out a emotional response from me. This book caught me up from the beginning I felt sorry for Jamie I couldn't wait to see how his world got turned around. Enjoyed this book, a real page turner. This book alternates each chapter between the two MC's so you see some of the same things but from different perspective and if this information had not been provided I would have been unable to tell who was talking at any given time due to the fact that the narrator did not differentiate between the two characters at all. It made this a very hard listen and this was compounded by a plot with a convoluted plot twist and severe lack of communication between everyone in the book. This book was a miss for me 3 stars Next was When I'm weak and it was narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo and thank goodness he voiced each character at least a little different which made this an easier listen but this book as well had convoluted plot details to make issues for the MC's Jamie and Reed. (view spoiler)[ Okay so the whole conflict is that Jamie at the age of 18 was in a casino and had a sexual interaction with someone who ended up being 15. For some reason this gets him on the sex offender registry so of course he doesn't tell anyone and lets himself be treated like trash by customers at his work who sexually assaults him in an alley. Look I grew up in Vegas and this would NEVER happen (the casino thing not the assault) Casinos have security guards and cameras and do not allow minors anywhere near slot machines and there is no way an 18 year old would have won money on one. (hide spoiler)] I did like the MC's more in this one and the narrator was better but the lack of basic fact checking into a major plot device just made this a hard read.

I have these in kindle, but I decided to do that audiobooks because I've spent so much time the last three months driving. I liked the stories, but the narrator for the first book didn't really work for me. His voice was just too mature for the characters I think. I liked Shane and Alex, but the parents? Uh, no. I was glad Alex didn't just let things go and that he was there for Shane when he really needed him I really liked the narrator of the second book. Jamie's story is so heartbreaking. I really liked Reed and Lucy and I'm interested to see what will happen next with their preschool and the little girl who really needs help. It's nice to see Shane and Alex and pick up their story as well.
