A rogue vampire stalked the shadows of metro Denver. It was my job to find it, but apparently I wasn’t the only one. “Hello Chew Toy” said a shadow as it separated itself from the darkness surrounding a nearby tree. Moving into the open, Gino Abandonado grinned at me viciously. “No big bad protector around to save you now.” He chuckled. I snorted in response. “I see you A rogue vampire stalked the shadows of metro Denver. I snorted in response. “I see you managed to grow your leg back.” I said with derision. “You should probably use it to run away while you have a chance. If it had been me you fought when we last met, I’d have just dusted your ass.” Gino sneered his disdain as his stake and dagger slid out of his jacket sleeves. “You will not find me as easy to handle as my minions back at the plane. I don’t see your kitty cat protector either. I do hope he’s alright. I shrugged indifferently and sniffed. “He’s fine. He did get a little banged up helping me dust your sire, but it wasn’t really a big deal.” I lied. Gino’s mouth dropped open in shock at my words before his eyes narrowed in hate. “You lie, you baseborn harlot!” He growled out. “Oh really?” I said with a raised eyebrow. “Seen dear old dad since you hit town? If you had, I don’t imagine you’d be out here all alone.” Continuing to stare at him quizzically, I asked. “Why are you out here Gino? Lose something? Or should I say, someone?” Gino snarled his hate as his weapons came to the ready. “That is none of your concern. Time to die Chew Toy.” I grinned as my eyes turned crimson. ++++ There are psychopaths in every group. Human, Vampire, Lycan. Kaitlyn Strong was forcibly turned, but managed to escape the clutches of a twisted vampire named Darius. Now, with her forty five pound Savannah Cat, Fangs, she hunts the shadows and kills the monsters. Book 2 of the popular Kaitlyn Strong Series by international author Art Deforest. The Kaitlyn Strong Series follows Kaitlyn’s life, loves and adventures as she cleanses the shadows of monsters.

Powering Up Kaitlyn and Fangs deal with Darius the vampire that turned and tortured her. However, more game is afoot as additional problems arise. Kaitlyn meets Sara who heals Fangs and creates a true familiar bond with Kaitlyn and the big cat. They are able to overcome the threat to Sara from the Abandonato clan of vampires. Can kaitlyn learn the power of the Blood Shamans from Sara? Can she keep romantic ties going with Deacon? I am now downloading the next book "Savage Shadows". Better than the first If you read the first book and the second book in one setting you get a decent short story. The was twice as long as the first story but is still way to short. I enjoyed the story but it's like reading a couple chapters. I'm going to wait until the series is completed before reading any more. A good read A different approach to the vampire, werewolf tale . A nice storyline and rich individuals development. But needs a more even flow and more information on background of individuals. Is a fair start for a new series.
