    I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers. This is an easy to read, follow and understand and gives exercises to try after each section. It contains helpful tips and explains many things about sleep, why we need it etc. I'll be reading through this again much slower and trying out many of the exercises as I do so.     This is a book I needed for my sleep problems which make me lose hours of sleep. Very well written and easy to follow. Sleep is very important to our well-being so we can’t afford to ignore something we need most. There are different styles you can use to help get those good hours of sleep. I highly recommend this book to all. I got this book from Quarto Publishing for an honest review.

    Having struggled with sleep lately, I couldn't resist this little gem of a book at Barnes and Noble. It's straightforward, informative, and full of various exercises that will help you understand sleep and ultimately sleep better. There are helpful tips for sleeping with children, dealing with sleep apnea, determining your personal sleep preferences, and so on. Our understanding of sleep changed drastically when the EEG was discovered by Hans Berger in 1929. Scientists were able to look at the activity of the brain during the 5 stages of sleep. There are techniques from eastern religion to helpone relax and prepare for sleep. Most importantly for me, I learned that there are people who are constitutionally short sleepers, who get between 5 and 5 hours of sleep per night, and are perfectly fine and healthy. That's me! I am going to try the pre-sleep breathing and stretching exercises, but I feela lot better about my sleep situation afer having read this book.
