I started reading this because it was free on my Kindle, but I quickly put it down because the characters acted way too much like animals than humans. The sexual content and description was out of hand.

Vaughn's books, this is the third boxset of her Winter Valley Wolves stories and contains the last three books of the series. Telling the stories of the women of the Quinn family, the first book is set a couple of years before the last two. I haven't actually got the boxset, but I read all of the stories individually as they came out and absolutely loved them. They are also part of the multi-author Mating Season Collection of paranormal romances based around the theme of the Mating Moon which happens only once each year. All the books can be read as stand alones, they are complete stories with their own happily ever afters, no cliff-hangers and this three book set is a real bargain. 7 - Chosen Parker Hoyt, wolf shifter, former NFL star and all round douche bag finally gets his true mate and the HEA he's been waiting for. 'Chosen' appears in this set as book seven, but was originally published as the fourth book in the series and is a really good addition despite the so called hero. Waitress Trixie Quinn is 18 years old, very innocent and trying to cope again this year with the strange fever that has overtaken her body every spring for the last five years. As if hitting puberty wasn't bad enough, she was bitten by a wolf on a camping trip when she was just 13 years old and has suffered each year since, but it doesn't last long and when it's over, she can forget about it for another year, so she deals with it. Until the day she meets Parker Hoyt, wolf shifter and man-slut for the first time, then the fever takes a turn for the worse and she struggles to control it. I really loved Trixie, but I especially loved her mother, Caroline. She's a character in a million. Parker Hoyt, former NFL star and all around douche bag, is the wolf who bit Trixie. He's six years older than her, and he knew she was his true mate, but others who were older forced him to leave his incredibly young mate alone and he lost track of her. He's been searching for her ever since. If you've read the previous books in this series, you'll know exactly who Parker Hoyt is and that his actions are generally reprehensible, he just sank to new lows with Trixie, and I think she gave in to her urges a little too easily, no, a lot too easily, especially given his history of bed hopping when he knew he had a true mate and had already bitten her. Short and sweet, this book is written in the first person and entirely from Trixie's point of view, which is not a style I generally like. I'd rather read books written in the third person so I know what all of the characters think and feel, but despite feeling like I was reading a script or someone's diary, this book was really good, with humour, steamy bits and the HEA we all expect. I really enjoyed reading it. 8 - Fated Steamy, sweet and laugh out loud funny, I read this book between Thanksgiving and Christmas and although it's not set during the holidays, it has the feel good factor so it's a perfect holiday read. It's just as good any other time of the year when you want a happily ever after to lose yourself in for a few hours. 'Fated' is well written in the first person, present tense and entirely from Caroline's point of view, which is not something I particularly like, but the story is so good it more than makes up for it, and once I started reading I couldn't put it down. This book had me laughing out loud and I absolutely loved it. 36 year old Caroline Quinn, mother, grandmother, erotic romance writer and serial binge TV watcher, is very lonely and seriously contemplating getting a cat.. or ten. She'd sworn off men until her young daughter, Trixie, grew up, now she's married with children of her own and Caroline's sworn off men again after her one and only encounter in nearly two decades ended with Paul Ryan saying he'd call her and then didn't. Her sister, Sophie and Trixie have made it their mission to get her back out into the world of dating and think Paul is ideal for her. You only get one true mate, and Paul Ryan lost his fairly recently, but although he knew fate had sent him Caroline Quinn as his second chance at true love and a family, when he first met her it was too soon after losing Sheila and he was still emotionally raw. Now, several months later, he's ready and determined not to mess up again. Caroline is his, he just needs to get her to understand and accept him. Without giving spoilers, it's hard to say too much more. Although not true mates, Paul knows he and Caroline are fated to be together, he just needs to convince her. This story of second chances has some really great characters, is laugh out loud funny, steamy, really sweet in places and comes complete with a happily ever after. I loved it. 9 - Destined What a terrific end to the Winter Valley Wolves series. It had me laughing out loud and I absolutely loved it. 'Destined', the ninth and final book in this terrific series and what a wonderful finale this is. Written in the first person from Sophie's point of view, something I don't normally like but I barely even noticed, I was so engrossed in the story. It had me hooked from beginning to end and although I'm a little sad that this is the last in the series, it left me with a smile on my face and quietly chuckling at the end. Sick of strangers and aimless drifting, all Sophie really wants is to settle down in a place where people know who she is and she knows who they are, with a man who'll love her like she loves him. She yearns for a home and family. After a painful divorce, two years of the free-living lifestyle and feeling it's time to get back into the dating pool, she responds to her niece Trixie's suggestion that she spend the summer here with Caroline, and they can both get out there. Getting her sister sorted didn't take long at all and now she's renting one of the summer cabins on Silver Lake and working as the Wedding Planner at the Winter Valley Country Club. Things aren't going to plan at all. It's pouring with rain, she's dropped her clothes into a muddy puddle and she's feeling a bit lonely and out of sorts until she catches sight of the dripping and half naked hunk that's decided to unload her car. So she does what any red blooded woman would do... she ogles and drools for a minute or two before going outside to say thank you. She's a bit disconcerted when he not only doesn't speak to her, but rushes away with her dead plant clutched in his hands. Weird. He had potential, but she's sure there are more possibilities for a relationship out there, she just has to find one. Fortunately destiny still has a card to play... Distrusting them completely and feeling all humans are a danger to the pack, werewolf and pack beta Warren Nelson is having a really hard time. How stupid can you get, running away from your true mate in terror because she's human, and even worse, taking her plant with you. Okay, so the plant needed help, but not a great first impression and the second impression wasn't any better. Damn, now he'd be lucky if she ever spoke to him again... I'm not going to give any spoilers, but this terrific story had me laughing out loud. Filled with humour, steam and including familiar characters whose stories have been told in the previous books, there is a happily ever after for Sophie and Warren.

This was an easy read that I did within a day. It was the compilation of 3 different stories involving a mother, her sister, and her daughter and their experiences when they meet the werewolves who they discover are their fated mates. There's some apprehension by the women since they start out as humans and are unsure whether they should trust their hearts and lives to these males of the Winter Valley Pack. There's some apprehension by the women since they start out as humans and are unsure whether they should trust their hearts and lives to these males of the Winter Valley Pack. They've all been burned, except for Trixie who was bitten years previous one night, and she's been experiencing some interesting side effects each spring ever since. They are delightful little stories that had me smiling. If I had on criticism, I'd have to say the speed in which these couples "fell in love" was a bit more than I would have believed. There was an attraction between the werewolves and the women that was undeniable, but I was rather surprised that none of them put up much of a fight when it came to the "love" question. I, personally, would have been more suspicious of the guys' declarations of undying love and devotion so quickly when the initial attraction was because of a mate attraction. Maybe that's just me, but it made things a bit unrealistic even for a fantasy world. There's quite a chasm between physical attraction and love that I think was crossed a bit too easily. That being said, I liked the world building the author did. The story took place somewhere I would have loved to live and seemed beautiful and peaceful. The pack mindset was well written, and I thought it was sweet how the men pursued the women. The backstories of the women were well done. And the sadness in the alpha's backstory was heartbreaking. I was glad to see each of them all reach a happily ever after however it came about.

QUIN WOMEN Sweet and short. I loved the Alpha males. The storyline in all three books are fast paced. It makes for fun reading. First story is Trixie and Parker. Happily married with two baby boys Next is her mother Caroline who falls for the Alpha of the pack. He lost his true mate, but they are giving it a go. What a fast romance. I have to say I love these stories, quick romances that guarantee a HEA. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I love the idea of true mates and the insta love thing. These three stories are about the Quinn women and the shifter men that love them. If you love shifter romance then I highly recommend these box sets. Amazing area, great characters, nice writing, some angst, and some really hot sex.

The stories sounded really good and had the author took more time to develop the stories and characters all three of these books would have been fantastic. They are good reads, but short and they get to the point on the third page and then its off to the next story which develops quickly and ends quickly. If you are looking for something short and good, this would be your books.

I am surprised to find myself liking something this author has written. I have read quite a few of her books in various box sets and they have always left me annoyed or just plain miffed due to the actions of her characters. I found these three books fun, enjoyable and a pleasure to read.

Decent read Stories seem a bit scattered like the editing is choppy. Easy, light read. Shifter romance but not overly graphic. Just some tweaks to the editing would make the series even better.

I love paranormal romance when they're well written, and this one is. Plus, it's an excellent box set of 3 books about 3 related women and men. They stories all pair together excellently, and I can easily recommend this book. I love paranormal romance when they're well written, and this one is.
