    I had to change my diet to a vegan one more than a year ago. I struggled trying to find food for vegans that see, feel and taste like "normal" food.My other struggle was to find recipes that include ingredients easy to find. I don't want to drive one hour to get an specific ingredient. Finally, I wanted to find a book that provide me with recipes easy to cook. This book covers everything that I needed. Simple ingredients, easy recipes that anyone with a little experience in the kitchen can follo I had to change my diet to a vegan one more than a year ago. Simple ingredients, easy recipes that anyone with a little experience in the kitchen can follow. I tried some of the recipes and I can say that the smoothies are great! I loved the Coconut banana Pancakes. The almond Raspberry Muffins and the Pumpkin Almond Muffins are amazing! I was looking for a pasta Alfredo recipe and all that i tries were bland. The one in this book is really good! The book is divided in 5 sections: breakfast, soups and salads, dinner, side dishes and snacks and dessert recipes. I recommend to get adventurous and try different things, I tried the avocado chocolate mousse and I thought that was a real weird mix but the flavor is super. Most of the recipes has the normal ingredient that mostly anyone will have at home. The creativity of the recipes gives a twist in the flavors that trick even non-vegan ones. Any of my family member at home are vegan, and they tried all the plates that I cook and they loved them. I highly recommend this book, specially to those to want to eat healthy, lose weight and have more energy. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Another Peculiar Cookbook Having read and reviewed several books by this author, like the last one I reviewed, this is a peculiar cookbook. The author doesn't provide much introductory material before jumping into the recipes. For a book that is both gluten free and vegan, she should have had a section discussing common vegan and gluten-free substitutes, especially the ones she uses in this book. The recipes ranged from incredibly simple to moderately complex with a fair amount of ingredients or Another Peculiar Cookbook Having read and reviewed several books by this author, like the last one I reviewed, this is a peculiar cookbook. The author doesn't provide much introductory material before jumping into the recipes. For a book that is both gluten free and vegan, she should have had a section discussing common vegan and gluten-free substitutes, especially the ones she uses in this book. The recipes ranged from incredibly simple to moderately complex with a fair amount of ingredients or unusual ones. The simple ones sometimes had only two or three ingredients, truly nothing one needs a recipe for like making apple chips using just sliced apples or barbecued tofu that is literally just frying up tofu in a purchased vegan barbecue sauce. The recipes themselves are poorly written; the book has no photographs. The author included extraneous words in both the ingredients and directions, especially “of” (e.g., 1/2 cup of vegan barbecue sauce) and “your” (e.g., “Mix your barbecue sauce with…”), respectively. She also couldn't simply say, “Preheat oven to 350F.” Here is an example of the directions: “Preheat your oven to a temperature of 425F and line a cookie sheet with parchment. Combine your gluten-free flour with your baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl.” Because of all these issues, I do not feel like I can recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

    This author has created an awesome cookbook with fresh ideas. Have tried some recipes and very excited to try more. I already feel excited about what I have already learnt.     Fun to read and plan meals for family and friends Liked gluten free recipes as have friends who can not eat anything that has gluten and now I can share delightful recipes they can enjoy too. The whole cook book has promising recipes and look forward to trying each one.
