4.5 stars! Now I will be honest in saying that I didn't expect much from this book, I was just waiting to be pissed off with the outcome..... HOWEVER I was pleasantly surprised! I actually enjoyed this book. I wanted to shake the hell out of ethan dealing with erica but all in all it was pretty enjoyable. No long drawn out review but do know that it was really good! My Ethan of course would be Chris Hemsworth with the long hair Haley would have been Tika Sumpter ( No this actress does not have gr 4.5 stars! Salacious, trashy and redemption! What a great book! I enjoyed entering the world of reality television in book form. The story of Haley and Ethan entering into an arranged marriage for money and a tv show could be on tv right now. The manipulations by the shows staff to boost ratings and drive a wedge between the couple could cost them the prize money. 3.50 Stars. An interesting storyline that delves into the manner in which producers manipulate events of a reality show in order to bolster ratings and viewership. In this story, Ethan Richards, a blond haired blue eyed handsome charismatic actor, is in a relationship with a woman who convinces him to audition for a reality show where marrying a woman sight unseen will earn him $100,000.00. At the urging of her friend, Haley Lawrence, a dark mocha-mahogany skinned beauty with sea-green eyes, is an unemployed real estate agent and struggling artist, commits to a 9 month marriage to an unknown male for $100, 000.00. The purpose of this reality show, The Vow, is to test whether Ethan's and Haley's arranged marriage will become a union steeped in love and caring. The couple go through the normal stresses of living together and getting to know and like each other; eventually, they fall in love. Their love is tested by the underhanded and mean pranks that the producers try and force on them for the sake of higher rating. This is a good book. Suggestion, pass on the audio formate because Lori J. Moran's "low energy" halting monotone narration is distracting.

One of the better romances (interracial or not) I have read! So many of the interracial romances I have read use a common theme of hot sex and then the couple eventually falls in Love. This romance is different in many ways as the couple not knowing each other realize how much in Love they are. Recommend

Yes I actually enjoyed this book! There was some parts where I wanted to hurt a couple of people! I think that that's what made the book good. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a smooth read. Nothing over the top. Just a sweet read Yes I actually enjoyed this book! There was some parts where I wanted to hurt a couple of people! Reel Life This story is an interesting take on the married at first sight craze. Ethan and Haley are the contestants..... with complications. Ethan has a girlfriend and the producers are unscrupulous. Mayhem and confusion ensues.

You are about to find out just how far two people go to claim$100,000. Be prepared for the shock of your life..... Ethan came across as an idiot who was to much in love to see the writing on the wall. He really is a sweet and caring character it just took me a little time to get over how blindsided he was. He did grow on me as he came face to face with reality and the writing on the wall. They say love is blind and I would have to agree this story shows that in many ways. Haley I liked a lot she comes across as a well put together women who knows what she wants. The question is just how far will she go to get it? Harley has some class and it shows through in little things that she does. She has some very trying times and has to learn to deal with a lot not only from her husband but the production crew. Lori J. Moran I thought did a good job in the narration. Her character voices were good although I did have trouble between some of her male voices. I feel she needs to work on them to make them sound more manly. She left you in no doubt as to how each character felt. She has a smooth voice that is easy to listen to. There are no breaks in the audio. Her voice is very clear, I saw no change from speakers to listening on my car radio. This is the first audio I have listened to by this narrator I would listen to her again. I really enjoyed her voice very much. The author gives you character you will enjoy and some you will totally hate. Some your would love to bang their heads against the wall and others you just want to give a hug to. The production crew and their mayhem will leave you with your mouth hanging open. There are no links this man will not go to. There sure is a lot going on with many twist to keep the story interesting. There is no doubt you are going to keep turning the pages to find out what kind of mess these two get into. This is the first book I have listen/read of this author. I did enjoy it and look forward to reading more from her. I found I was so into this audio that I had trouble putting it down. The author doesn't leave much to the imagination as she gives you a very entertaining listen which the narrator paints a picture you can see in your mind.I totally loved this ending and didn't see that coming. This story unfolds with the Ethan and Haley being cast to get married prior to ever meeting. Can two people fall in love in an arranged marriage? You will have to read/listen to this to find out. The book is full of ups and downs, lots of different emotions(you will be sad, happy, angry) and just a whole lot of entertainment. Lori Moran provides a wonderful performance.

In Marriage At First Sight, author CJ Howard takes us into the world of reality tv at it's finest through her book. Haley Lawrence and Ethan Richards are the bride and groom, each auditioning for the show for various reasons. Haley for her own art studio and Ethan for his "girlfriend." Things are a little rocky in the beginning until the kiss in kitchen, even though Ethan tries to make it clear to Haley that it was just for the camera. Then all of the drama starts from the producers and the "girlfriend" Erica who has had her own side hustle on the side in the form of her sugar daddy Uncle Randall. Despite the slimy producer Murphy, Erica and the fake art dealer Enrique, Ethan and Haley find real true love with each other

KU: huh. I originally picked this up because I loved how Raven St. Pierre wrote the concept and wanted to read it from another person's mind set. My first thought was that Ethan was a poor spineless smuck who fit the "all brawn, no brains" stereotype. But then you just realize that people really can be blind to the people they love. The big confrontation with Murphy felt forced, as did the ending. What I did like was how Ethan and Haley developed their love. I liked how Ethan realized what real love is and how selfless he was for the right female. I liked that they both figured out they were being played and saved their marriage. Over all is was an ok read. (JMO)

Different and Interesting It was refreshing to read an IR story with a different plotline, interesting and likable characters, and not have to wade through a myriad of typographical and grammatical errors. The Hollow aspect was like a Jackie Collins novel. This was a good read and I would recommend it not just to IR readers, but to any modern romance reader who wants a break from monotonous plotlines and likes everyday characters. Good job.

Reality TV, meet at the alter, marry, stay together for a year and each collect $100,000. I saw this plot as predictable and I was right. Having said that I will say I did like it for the most part.
