I have to start out by saying this is the first series like this I have read, I have read a lot of paranormal but this series was unique to me which is why I probably enjoyed it so much-it was not the typical fantasy. Moon Crossed has everything you could want in a good fantasy-it has a lot of wonderful and bad well developed characters and it is awesome to see what each one brings to the series. This I can say about the series it is truly unique and captivated me from the first page on and kept my attention through all the wonderful pages! The angst in this book keeps you on the edge and the compassion of Claire is amazing with her interactions with all of the boys in the series and of course her relationship with Cole. It is so hard for her as she has to be so strong, no one can do it for her she has to make the decisions to do what she does, as a hunter, and even though this is her job, you can see how it affects her through everything. I really enjoyed this series and can't wait to read more! I have to tell you though the emotional angst in this series requires you to have tissues, be prepared for your heart to break a little each time Claire's does and realize the strength she has to have to do what she does. I gave this book 5***** stars and it deserves so much more. Thanks to Ms. Roccaforte for this series, it was wonderful, but the book hangover I am going to have won't be so I am going to read something else by her while I wait for what is next!

Claire O'Conlan is a wolf hunter. She's working on a cure to stop her "brothers" aka her housemates and close friends from shifting, b/c every full moon they risk becoming "moon touched" and go feral, resulting in her having to kill them. Of course she's breaking the rules just by living with wolves, but breaks an even bigger one by getting involved with a 'bad' wolf, Cole even though she's warned over and over not to. I have to be honest here. I LOVE Bella and I'm a huge fan of the Ink series, Claire O'Conlan is a wolf hunter. I have to be honest here. I LOVE Bella and I'm a huge fan of the Ink series, but Claire annoyed me a bit. All she does is hear story after story about how must of a womanizer Cole is, and she keeps chasing after him. She forgives him all the escapades he most likely has, can't stay mad at him, just lets him pull her along and tease her. She KNOWS he's going to use her, and just lets him have "it" (and considering how much I loathe the playboy male and virgin female dynamic, this annoyed me even more). There is no way it'd be OK if it were a "manizer" and a male chasing her. Oh how I wish women could sleep around on men, have countless male partners, have a virgin male just constantly forgiving her and have it be OK. What I DID love was that Claire was a female hunter and kept it together after everything that happened with her parents, finding out about her mom, etc. I loved the action scenes, I loved the paranormal aspect and the hunter/wolf aspect. I also enjoyed the humor. At least Claire holds her own in the joke department with her 'brothers'. If Claire had more of a backbone, or if she's returned Cole's actions onto him by sleeping with other guys, I'd have given this more stars. I just can't deal with women who let guys walk over them.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!! ***I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal) The cover is awesome and definitely what grabbed my attention to check out the book :) This is a serial series and the whole first season or book. I definitely recommend getting the whole serial set :) This does have violence and language, but I think it is okay for high school age to read, but that of course depends on the reader’s maturity too. There is talk about sex, but no details. Claire is something definitely stronger than me because I don’t think I could handle everything she is expected to do and take in life. It is difficult to figure out what I should say because I don’t want to ruin anything for anyone reading this series. She suffers lose, fights for her life regularly, deals with drama from friends and family, and sometimes doesn’t know which way is up. Tons of chaos and things you don’t see coming. I’m not sure on some things, but I’m hoping I learn more and figure out as the series continues. I definitely did not want the story to end because I have to know what happens next. This is my first time reading Bella’s work, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more of this series to see what happens next. This is definitely a unique world that interesting and grabs your attention. I recommend this series to wolf lovers who want to experience a new and unique world!!

6 Incredible stars!!! This series has it all! Wolves, magic, dark twists, humor, love, hate.... She is set on finding a cure for the moon-touched to save her boys and all wolves. Naturally there are others who don't agree with what she is doing and is starting a war. Claire is a very strong female lead who proves herself time and time again throughout the story. The author doesn't hold anything back. Just when you think you have it figured out things get crazy and chaotic (of course in a good way). There were many times I wanted to throw the book, laugh out loud (literally), and cry (and I don't cry). You will not regret reading this series. I have an incredible love/hate relationship with Moon Crossed. Absolutely one of my favorites!

Moon Crossed (The Complete First Season) Review This one was a real emotional doozy! Claire had everything she could ever want and then lost it all and with that loss her entire world fell apart. I really liked Claire up to a point. But once things went bad the whole " I love you, I hate you, I love you, I hate you" got a little old. Her emotions bounced around more than a pingpong ball. They are funny and sweet and it is hard not to fall for them and I won't even get started on Cole. I can't tell if he is really good deep down or if he is completely full of shit. All I do know is that I am itching to know what happens next! There is definitely more going on than we were let in on and I am waiting with fingers crossed that some of the bad works itself out. Bella is an evil author (in the best way) for ending this the way she did and in my opinion Moon Crossed (The Complete First Season) is definitely worth a read.

i have always loved wolves and when I found out my favorite author was writing a whole season on them I was all over it. Again I was not disappointed. Bella has an amazing gift of seamlessly merging humor into a normally dark story. The plot is fast paced and full of hidden gems. We meet lots of unique characters. Each book is darker and a little more serious, with a hint of what's to come. However in true Bella fashion she still has her trade mark snide comments are still beautifully written into the storyline. Each book becomes darker, crazier and filled with unbelievable characters. With action, tragedy, brilliant plot this will suck you in. Im definitely anxiously hoping for another season

Emotional rollercoaster I loved this series. The characters were easy to relate to, and I felt every emotion that Claire had. A good book that was impossible to put down. Definitely would recommend and I really hope there is a sequel.

This is such an amazing series and I wish that I could give more than 5 stars to it. I am left in a complete book hangover from this. Episode 1: I absolutely love Bella Roccaforte's books. It all started with her INK series and I am now hooked on this serial series also! Her worlds just suck you right in and you can't escape until the book is done and you are begging for the next one. Luckily I don't have to beg for the next in this because all 6 are out now. And I will be starting on the next as soon as I am done with this review. In this book, we are thrown into the world of werewolves and hunters. We meet Claire and all of her boys/wolves. I really liked all of them and I love Claire. We learned a little bit about the hunters and why they came to be. How some wolves will be moon touched. Basically, they go feral and the hunters have to kill them, otherwise they will kill humans. Claire has a heart though. She loves her wolves and that is why she is trying to make a cure for being moon touched, she doesn't want to have to kill one of her boys, but she will if she needs to. Hunters and werewolves aren't suppose to mix, but yet, Claire lives with a few of the wolves. We also meet Cole in this book. I do have an idea about him, but I'm not going to say. I guess I'll find out if I'm right or not by the end of this series. This does end in a cliff hanger, which Bella is fantastic with writing. Like I said though, there is no wait for the next book to be out since they have all been released already. Okay, review written time to start on the next one. I have a feeling it will be a sleepless night filled with reading! Episode 2: This is the second serial in Bella Roccaforte's Moon Crossed Series. They do need to be read in order. This is such an awesome story line. We have werewolves, hunters, bad wolves, good wolves, moon touched wolves, a Romeo and Juliette type of love story starting. What more could you want? "My duty is to protect your kind, even if it is from yourselves. I am a hunter, no mercy." In this book, we get to see Claire do some hunting and we see the boys shift during the full moon. Claire is still working on her cure to save the moon touched, and prevent wolves from becoming moon touched. The relationship between Claire and Cole is developing fast. I really love both of them. "I'll be content making him happy every thoughtful way that I can. I'd shoot the moon out of the sky if it would make him smile just once." I loved the "magic porch". Some secrets come out about Claire, she had no idea. There is something about Cole too. I'm so curious about him. Like I said in my last review, I do have some ideas, but with how Bella's mind is, I am probably so far off track. She is so great with the twists in books. Good thing, you don't have to wait for the next to come out. All 6 novellas are already out. You won't regret buying this set and reading them. They're great. Episode 3: This is the third novella in this series. And it's the best one yet. Things are really starting to heat up between Cole and Claire. I am so hooked on this series and all the characters in it! I really don't think that Cole is as bad as the guys are saying. He is a sweetheart so far. These two are perfect for each other. Now they don't just have to worry about the whole hunter being with a wolf thing, they also have to worry about the pack that is after Claire because of her last 2 kills of moon touched wolves. They were legit kills, but the pack isn't seeing it that way. They want her death because of it. It's awesome reading a book where the female is the strongest of the group. I'm still waiting to see if my theories on Cole pan out, or if I'm totally off track with them. I'm also curious about Claire's mom and what Hayden revealed. Will be starting book 4 as soon as I feed my kid! Episode 4: I don't even know where to start with this review. This novella is amazing. I'm at a loss for words right now. This book has a bit of everything in it. Make sure you have some tissues near you. You will be crying some. My heart is breaking for what Claire had to do. She's trying to come to terms with the attack on the hunters. Pike has the whole pack after her now. She learns the truth about her mom and family. And she also learns that there are more secrets that Hayden and her aunt Raine don't want to tell her yet. Cole is confusing as all get out too! Poor Claire! I really love how bad ass she is! She is such an amazing character. I think she is one of my all time favorite female characters. I will be starting on book 5 in a few minutes. This is a serial series that you don't want to miss out on! I promise you will love it. Bella Roccaforte is brilliant with these stories! Episode 5: Ok, I told you to have tissues while reading the last novella. Make sure you have them for this one too. You'll be crying again, maybe a few different times. This is one of the best books I have read in awhile. My heart is breaking even more for Claire now. She is broken, but being put back together. But she's not the loving Claire that she was. She is hard now. She still loves her boys, but she will never trust a wolf again. Zane is there for her. So is Ben. I think Zane is up to something, not sure why I feel that way though. Ben is a sweet heart. Cole is still sort of around. claire also gets to meet with an elder Shaman. She just has to work through what he said to her. More secrets come out. She now knows the truth about Cole and Pike. I was right in one theory on Cole. I do think he is a jerk for not talking to her, but I think he really does love her. Maybe I'm just holding out hope for them. We will see! She is very powerful. But I don't know how much more she can take. Episode 6: Honestly, i have no idea what to say in this review. This isn't the first time in this series, that Bella has left me speechless. I do love how it was an open ending. I want to see what happened from the ending (sorry, I won't put more about the ending because I will not give anything away about it). I had hopes for Cole and Claire, but This ending was perfect. Not every story has a happily ever after. Claire deserves some happiness though. I really hope she gets it somehow. She has basically lost everything, except for Zane and Ben. This book has left me in a severe book hangover. I felt so much for Claire. I love when a story, or character, can grip you like this. She is such a strong, broken character. I want season 2 now!

Gathering my thoughts after finishing this one is a little difficult. Emotionally, I feel like I have been run through the ringer. Fist off, I have to say this is an incredible series. For those that are familiar with other paranormal YA series, this one is made me think of Vampire Academy and House of Night. Emotionally, I feel like I have been run through the ringer. Fist off, I have to say this is an incredible series. For those that are familiar with other paranormal YA series, this one is made me think of Vampire Academy and House of Night. Claire reminds me a lot of Rose and Zoey from those series; she shares some of the same qualities- strength, the ability to see the flaws in their system, and the determination to do what needs to be done regardless of the consequences. Much like those series, things don't always go how the reader hopes. (Or at least how I hoped- I guess I can't speak for other readers, it's presumptuous and you know what they say about assuming- it makes an ass out of you and me.) Anyway. Roccaforte grips you from the beginning by starting Claire's story with tragedy. In the prologue, you discover just how difficult life is for her kind- their entire existence revolves around death. No one believes they will grow old and gray; hell, they don't even believe they will live long enough to have grand-kids or even see their children grow up. They know that life is short and the end will probably be bloody. The next part explains the profound dichotomy between the ideal and the reality of wolf/hunter existence. (I can't help but think of Star Wars here- the way Qui-Gon Jinn believed that young Anikin Skywalker would fulfill the prophecy and bring balance to the force vs what transpired... Yeah, it happened eventually but things went all kinds of sideways first). Anyway, the hunters were created to keep the wolves in check; to prevent the exposure and endangerment of their world. Their existence hinges on one duty--take out the moon-touched because they posed a threat to humans and wolves alike. They aren't hardened killers though, they were created with the heart of a wolf--built to love the creatures they have to destroy-- and meant to exist in symbiosis with the wolf-born. The main conflict in the story arises because of human nature which feeds on the tragedy of the werewolf and hunter existence. Despite knowing they wouldn't want to exist as mindless killers, the wolves that lose their loved ones to the hunters because of the moon-touch sickness often harbor resentment. Resentment grows to anger to hatred, which leads to retaliation and to all out war. The war that transpires, is reminiscent of the American Civil War- brother against brother, heavy casualties on either side- a war that no one can truly win. Now, being a bit of a Disney junkie, I have held on to the childlike desire to see everything end in HEA. I will say this goes against my nature which has become more realistic over the years and often hedges close to pessimism. I've become jaded but I still manage to hold on to the belief that everything happens as it should. The kernel of hope that all would work out for the best enveloped me throughout the book. The characters were so real and likable. Claire and her boys just fit together so perfectly. Locke, Tor, Trevor, Brogan, Kyle... they were her world. Everything she did revolved around keeping them safe and helping all wolf-born. It's ingrained in her DNA. It was obvious the boys loved her as well and I couldn't help but hope they would be able to have it all. The love interest, Cole, was a character I wanted to believe in. The proverbial bad-boy, all of creation warns her away from him but I couldn't help but believe that his feelings for her were genuine and that he would change his ways for her proving to be the hero she didn't know she wanted or needed. The relationship development was more believable than in most YA books. There is no insta-love or even intense attraction. Claire has no desire to get romantically involved, instead it is an offer of friendship that grows despite indecision and doubts. I give Roccaforte credit, the emotions between all of the characters was palpable. The angst it created kept me on the edge of my seat. So many emotions churning throughout the book... It sucked me right in to this saga and I couldn't get enough. (Yeah, I binge read this one. I'm sure I would have forgotten to eat if not for my kids.) The story took me on a roller-coaster ride. There were highs and lows and twists that took my stomach and my breath away. I laughed and I cried as I followed this amazing tale. Through everything, I held on to the safety bar- that glimmer of hope that everything would work out. Claire is different at the end of the book; as a literary student, I know she is supposed to be but I'm not sure how I feel about the developments of the final episode. Tough decisions have changed her and I mourn for the girl she used to be. Part of me wants to know what happens next while another part wants to just walk away. I know I won't though. I am a glutton for punishment and the darkest part of my being will force me to follow Claire wherever she goes. Despite the turmoil this book left me in, I give it 5 stars. I think that the author has managed to create an incredible world that will appeal to those that like the paranormal and don't mind delving into the darker aspects of that world. ***Bonus Commentary*** Here is a little warning- some spoilers below. While editing my review to post, I decided to move a portion away from the rest of the review. Below is some thoughts I wanted to share but felt they didn't fit in with my review. Occasionally, especially with an emotional book, I will make a connection between the story and a song. In my mind, it becomes a theme song for that particular book. I guess making connections is a throw back from my lit analysis days. Well it happened with this book. When the relationships between Claire and the others began to go south, I kept hearing Slipknot's Snuff playing over and over in my mind. If you are unfamiliar with the song check it out. For me it captures the same emotional upheaval as this book. You listen to the song and read the lyrics here Here is a sample though that I felt applied to the book, You couldn't hate enough to love. Is that supposed to be enough? I only wish you weren't my friend Then I could hurt you in the end. I never claimed to be a saint. Ooh, my own was banished long ago It took the death of hope to let you go... Needless to say, the story, much like this song, ripped me to shreds. I'm going to go nurse my book hangover now...

EVER!!! I’M NOT KIDDING either!!! I’m usually really easy going when it comes to my book expectations.” I have so many mixed feelings! Why? I expected to get onto the rollercoaster, have a fun ride, and depart safely. That did not happen! I was tossed about like a rag doll and felt like I was going to fall out of my seat at any moment. I'm on the right :P If this is how you like to feel while reading a book, then this is the book for you. I laughed, blushed, smiled, jumped with joy, snickered, gasped, cried, sobbed, yelled, cursed, and felt the overwhelming need to slap various characters in the face. If I could have jumped into Bella Roccaforte’s story, I would have in order to kick some major hunter, wolf, and human ASS! That's right! I don’t think I’ve ever been so frustrated and heart broken while reading a book in my entire life. Some people made me so angry I wanted to throw my iPad at my nearest victim. HAHA… TAKE THAT! Then I realized I would be throwing my baby and thought better of it. My thoughts (spoiler alert): • Claire is a geeky/fierce kickass heroine! • Cole… he made me want to spit venom into his eye and toss him off a cliff • The boys… I loved them at first and enjoyed the witty banter between the group. As the story progressed, I later wanted to stab them in the back with an axe after how they treated Claire. • This book is full of evil/frustrating secrets! BEWARE!!!!!!! • The “I Love you” was way to fast and made me have a bad taste in my mouth from then on. I think its just because I obviously did not like Cole one bit. What I think you/I need to remember is that this is the first “season” of this book. I don’t think it’s meant to be about Cole and Claire… I think it’s about Claire as an individual and her journey living as a hunter. Heads up, she makes a lot of mistakes. I have a feeling another love interest, hopefully a real/true/honest/good one, will be present in the next season. • There was a lot of sex talk, but the act itself is not described. I like both clean and not so clean books. This book just seemed incongruent. I’m probably not explaining myself at all, but I just feel like there was a lot of talk and then when it did happen the scene would go completely dark and I was left with the feeling of “did IT happen or not” (scratches head… few pages in) “Ooooo… so they did do IT.” And when IT did happen, Claire was so overcome with emotion (rolls eyes) that she wanted to jump his bones way way way to fast! Ugh!!!! • Heads up… a lot of people die! DO NOT GET ATTACHED! Obviously, this book took me out of my comfort zone, and yet I still enjoyed it. If you had told me an in depth synopsis before hand, I probably would not have read it. However, now that I am 100% involved, I am anxious/hesitant about reading season 2. Even though this is not my “go to” kind of book, I’m glad I tried it.

I was given "Moon Crossed" the series by the author Bella Roccaforte and "Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock" for an honest review. This is the paranormal shifter version of Romeo and Juliette. This is the paranormal shifter version of Romeo and Juliette. Claire is a hunter desperately searching for a cure that will one day save all those that she loves if they become moon-touched being wolf-borne. I am very seldom completely torn on my feelings about a book as I am with this series. On the positive side; I especially enjoyed the characters. I felt that they were well rounded, likeable individuals that I could picture in real life. Claire frustrated me like no other at times and I felt that I was on a bi-polar rollercoaster ride with her. There were times that I both adored Cole and the rest of the "boys" and hated them equally as much at others. I would have liked to have more information about Pike and why he hated Claire so much. The story was fast paced and it captured and held my attention, finding myself reading until 2am. On the negative side; there were times that I felt that the story was geared towards adult readers and others that it felt that it was geared towards teens, I found that confusing. The book is told completely by Claire's narrative, which I didn't necessarily enjoy all the time. There were some awesome characters in this story that I think having their narrative would have added to the book. Next, many times the feelings, relationships, dialog and action between the characters was very contradictory. Two, easy examples were; Claire repeatedly narrating that she didn't like to be touched and the next scene is her giving hugs to everyone. Or even worse, was I would often become confused on who were friends and who were enemies! There were multiple times that I had to put my Kindle down and say "WTH!!". Finally, the biggest negative was I hated the ending!! This book definitely does not have a happily ever after, BUT I feel that the door was left open for further books in the series, to possibly get that HEA. I am rating this book a 4.5 fangs, because although I had issues with some of the scenes and plot, I enjoyed the book and found it difficult to put down. I feel that the author did her job in capturing the readers interest and every time I had to put the Kindle down, I always kept picking it back up.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review (Lovers of Paranormal) It's got a great steady flow to start then sped up towards the end and seemed rushed. Claire is a hunter who was created by the Wolf Sharman Elders for the purpose of protecting humans and other wolves from the moon-touched. She’s a rule breaker and although it’s against the rules she has a "pack" of her own. Claire is hell bent on finding a cure for the moon-touched and to save her boys and other wolves from becoming infected. Then there is Cole. Oh Cole is a bad boy, or wolf. Totally irresistible, and he wants Claire. But Cole has some secrets of his own. Everything he does to Claire was pretty shitty. But I never doubted his love for her or hers for him. I did find all the, “I love you, I hate you” rather annoying after a while and the ending, OMG! WHY DID YOU DO THAT? It made me so mad and ruined the whole story for me. I may still read more books that come out in this series. But at the moment I am too angry over the ending of this one.

I started this book at night.... that was a mistake! I ended up working the next day on almost no sleep. This story sucks you in from the very beginning and refuses to let go. I neglected absolutely everything I possibly could just to read more about Claire, Cole and the crew!!! Claire is a hunter and hopelessly connected to her werewolves. Her job, along with other hunters, is a grim one. She has the duty to put down those wolves that are moon crossed. She carries every death with her deeply. Please? I cannot say much as I do not want to spoil it for anybody. I will tell you, Y'all need to read this book!!! I cannot wait to read the next book!!! I need it, like, hmmmm YESTERDAY.... Thank you so very much Bella for your amazing talent and awesomeness!!!! Love you tons and I will be a fan for life!!

Moon Crossed (The Complete First Season): Season 1 (Episodes 1-6) (Crescent Hunter) is a riveting and intense read. Author, Bella Roccaforte, has written a masterpiece. This novel is superior to any wolf novels I have ever read. The characters are believable, lovable, and strong. The plot is full of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Bella does a wonderful job building the world. I laughed, loved, and cried; mostly cried during the last half of the book. It was incredibly sad. Wow, just wow...Moon Crossed, just wow. I finished the whole first season of Moon Crossed in 2 days, almost 600 pages. Claire's story took off in a flash. I was going to read the first episode and write a review on it. Well, Claire, Cole, Locke, Tor, Kyle, Rabbit and the other boys had different plans for me. The characters were wonderfully balanced creating a perfectly woven story that left me with such a book hangover I'm not sure when I'll start the next book. He definitely keeps you guessing through the book. Claire's world gets rocked and I've not had so many emotional ups and downs where I felt like I was going to literally start crying for and with her. Moon Crossed is a must read if you enjoy YA Paranormal Romance.

I feel sorry for Claire because she is torn between her duty and her love for Cole. This is for any paranormal romance book reader who wants more in their story.

Wonderful, sad rollercoaster of a story I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review. First off, as a rule, I don't like werewolf stories. This one is the exception. The character are well drawn. The magic system between hunters and wolves is well thought out. It's as well done as the systems in Wheel of Time or Lord of the Rings. 4 1/2 stars! I was a little skeptical about reading Moon Crossed, I'm not a big fan of reading books on shifters, well, this book changed my mind. I loved it! These were some of the most engaging characters, they were so well written, that I just wanted to sit out on the deck with them and drink a beer. I will say this is one of the most heartbreaking books that I've read in a long time. I can't wait for the next season to come out!!!!

Oh my dear lord. Wow... I don't really know what else to say at this moment.... I cried a freakish amount reading the last two books in this series... I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal) So this book totally caught me by surprise! Recently books of this genre have started to feel stale to me, most have the same guidelines. However this book was AMAZING, the background to this story is phenomenal. I loved the main characters they had such a great relationship and they interacted like regular people (aside from turning furry). This is a great series. Bella Roccaforte is a wonderful author and really does an outstanding job of making you feel connected to the characters in her book. This story makes you laugh and cry and everything else in between. Just when you think you know what is going to happen next, she switches it up on you. You will not know what is going to happen next. I am really looking forward to finishing this series as soon as it is released.

What the fuck I bought the box set, so I'm not really sure where 1 "episode" began and the other ended. At the beginning I REALLY liked it, and bout the rest of the books ASAP. But I just finished reading it and I feel disappoint and actually quite angry. We're taught to have happy endings. This did NOT have a happy ending. I will say that of the author came out with another book I would read it just to see if things got better. This was an interesting series full of twists and turns that kept me enthralled to the end. The characters are believable and balance each other in a beautifully integrated storyline. There is loss and love in this roller-coaster ride of emotions. It was hard to put this book down and I enjoyed it very much. Gifted a copy for review.

Mixed feelings about this book. The beginning was a little slow with to much back and forth with Cole. Then it was like the story was on fast forward and all this stuff started happening that I almost couldn't keep up. The last quarter of the book is just so sad I cried like a baby and then it ended with the To Be Continued which made me what to scream. Can't wait to see how this story ends.
