Jesus! My head is literally whirling. Oh my gosh, all these revelations! They're killing me! I feel so sorry for Staci because I know come the fifth book, she'll be confused and torn up as fuck just like me. I do not envy her dilemma at all. I know in this one she's seeing a bit clearly that she's in love with Xander, especially now that everything about him is revealed to her. But what happens when she finally gets contact with Terrence again? God, I'm just so happy things are finally starting Jesus! God, I'm just so happy things are finally starting to unfold. We finally know who Staci's Mr. X really is. We find out where Rita is and what happened to her. But I'm still overwhelmingly torn up to pieces on who to choose—Terrence or Xander? Which Blue boy will you choose? Both of them has two sides—a dangerous one and a very sweet and caring one, a loving one more so. I don't even know who to root for anymore. I thought when I finally learned who Xander is and what role he's actually playing in The Blue Room, I was so sure I'd choose him over Terrence. The chemistry and love between him and Staci is just mindblowingly undeniable. But here comes Terrence towards the end, starting to man up and do the noble thing. He'll do everything to keep Staci safe, even if it means that he has to be a patron at his old business. How can you stop reading this series? It's so addicting, it leaves you craving to know more and I swear you can't flip through the pages fast enough! Gah! So now what, which Blue boy's side will you be on? Terrence or Xander? ~Renery, 4.5 stars ************************* In this volume it is filled with revelations. Thank goodness but as we learn the truth the mind continues to boggles on what to do with the information. Staci has her work cut out for her. She is utterly overwhelmed about everything that has been thrown to her all at once. We meet and get to know her father. We learn more about Xander, a man that has captured begun to capture the heart of Stacy but we also continue to have the intense connection between her and Terrance. Who to choose? Who to believe? These Blue men mean something to her but in different ways. Both men have an undeniable pull to the beautiful Staci and wanting her all to themselves. Who to pick between the two blue men…the good or the bad? Now that we have come this far who has your heart? Finally finally finally at the close of this volume we get to know what happened to Rita but what happens next is the question. My mind is exploding at this point and figuring out the route that I feel Stacy should take is not an easy feat. Definitely do not want to be in her shoes because at this point I would probably be so far over the top on what to do! Damn this series and the addiction to read more! ~Cristina, 4.5 stars

Hard to review a series without giving anything away and spoil anyone's reading! First of all, this is a great suspense and mystery series. It has some very passionate characters and they are very active and sensual. The main plotline though centers around what happened to Staci's friend Rita. She was Staci's roommate and very close friend. They were like sisters. Then one day, Rita just disappeared. Last known job... working at The Blue Room. She was Staci's roommate and very close friend. They were like sisters. Then one day, Rita just disappeared. Last known job... working at The Blue Room. Logically, Staci is off to find out what she can by applying for a job undercover. It is all smoke and mirrors at The Blue Room. What I mean is you cannot trust anyone, and I mean anyone; all is not as it seems; this is definitely NOT the place for a naive 21-year-old virgin to be working. Being desperate for money and to be able to pay the medical bills her mother is incurring, Staci takes this leap hoping she will not get burned along the way and she will be able to take care of all her problems in one swoop. Be glad that all 8 books in this series are out now. You will want to read them all in a row and not put them down. It is that good! Now, why did I only give this book a 4-star review you ask? Because it was difficult for me to read this series and not get aggravated with the misspelled words, missing words, wrong character names, etc. For someone as gifted as our author, I expect a better final product. A good proofreader and an editor are essential to a final product that is worth an author's pride. Some authors prefer to do this themselves. I understand that. Yet, this is how things fall through the cracks because the same person that wrote the words is now attempting to critique and correct the work. It never works. I do not want to take away from this book because it is a gripping story. Just know you will encounter these mistakes along the way. Enjoy!

Okay, so by volume 4 we are getting closer to figuring out what happened to Rita, what the deal is with Mr. X and Ronnie Blue as well. Not all the answers, but I'll have to say I don't feel as lost as I was before. This review may spoil books 1-3. "Truth and lies, reality and fiction-they are but two sides of the same coin when it comes to Mr. X and the world he has created for me." ~ Staci So we learn Mr. X's real name this time and that he has some real feelings for Staci. "Truth and lies, reality and fiction-they are but two sides of the same coin when it comes to Mr. X and the world he has created for me." ~ Staci So we learn Mr. X's real name this time and that he has some real feelings for Staci. That said, he is still seeing her through the Blue Room and is connected somehow. Staci likes him and is still throwing the L-word around in her head, however whatever Mr. X is into is dangerous and he doesn't want her involved. With the Mr. X name-switching by the Blue Room, I am a bit lost with the Rita/Roz thing, if this is THE Mr. X or not. "That's what I like about the Blue Room, at least. Everything is on the table." ~ Mr. X Mr. X likes that Staci is about as real as it gets. She gave him the most special part of herself and that says a lot in his world. The fact is, she is a Blue Girl and that means Mr. X still has to share. Specifically with Terrence. Another part I'm not too sure of. I suppose because Staci is some what a "hooker" the men accept that she is bouncing between them. Anyhoo, this volume ended the best so far and had me excited for the next one because it looks like we are finally getting somewhere with Rita's story line. Staci is at the Blue Room for a reason and we are back on track with it. Reviewed for Renee Entress's Blog.

    What Lies

**Series Review** I will start my review off by saying--what a gripping story!! However, I had a few issues with it. This series could have easily received 4+ Stars! I will get my issues out of the way first, and then tell you how good the actual story was. There are errors in most of the books. Little things, like calling characters the wrong names, timing in between events that didn't add up, a person that went missing, taken against his will presumably and Staci never questioned it?! Little things, like calling characters the wrong names, timing in between events that didn't add up, a person that went missing, taken against his will presumably and Staci never questioned it?! Also, her mother was sick and she DIDN'T check in with her! That really annoyed me because if MY mother was that sick, I would be checking in A LOT! Now for the good part ... Although Staci infuriates me so much with her "I want him - I don't want him" behavior, I can't help but feel sorry for her. All the secrets, the lies from people she thought she could trust and others she wanted to trust. She is quickly learning that she cannot trust anybody. Poor girl!! Every time Staci thought she was getting somewhere and getting to the bottom of the secrecy, BAM! Another trap door opened and sent her plummeting into another sea of secrets for her to work out. The story line itself was good, gripping. I read the last three books in the same day and I am annoyed I don't get the next one for 10 more days!! Sooo Annoyed. I just wish Kailin would edit the books a little better, then I could give them the 4 stars they deserve.

Mr. X and Staci have great chemistry and that has lead to some hot and sizzling bedroom action which is always a crowd pleaser. It's written in a very tactful way and doesn't seem the least bit trashy or raunchy. It certainly doesn't seem like she is being paid for it. The darkness in this story continues and the questions in my mind keep piling up. I want to love both Terrance and Mr. X but just have a feeling one is a deadly man!

I was gifted this book by the author's publisher in return for a review. Once again I am in love with this series and cannot wait until the next installment. Now we know a little bit more about who Mr. X, it has only opened up more questions for me. Are the feelings he professes to have for Staci real? Is he really who he says he is? Is he involved in anyway with the mystery of what happened to Roz and Rita or does he know who is really behind it? At this point in the story I am torn between who I was gifted this book by the author's publisher in return for a review. I get the feeling that both Mr. X and Terrence have real feelings for her, those whose might be deeper I don't know. I love the way that Kailin writes. She keeps me involved in the entire story and trying to solve the mystery on my own. I can't wait to find out what Terrence's next move will be with the new information he has learned regarding Rita and Staci.

*** Reviewed for Hooked on Books *** This is book 4 and they do need to be read in order. Staci is really connecting with Mr X. and then there's Terence - well how can she choose ? then to add to all her turmoil her long lost father she has never met turns up and throws a spanner in the works. Staci has so much to deal with how can she keep it all together, can she carry on her journey to find Rita ? Terrence or Mr X? Which one will Staci finally decide on. That seems to be the dilemma Staci has going on at the moment. This girl is so mixed up though with her feelings I don't think she knows what she wants. For a girl supposedly desperate to find her best friend she doesn't seem too focused on actually finding her. Then when she thinks she may have found her she realises she may have waited too long and lost her again. One things for sure no one is who they say they are. Can anyone be truly Terrence or Mr X? Erm... Review to follow but damn, I'm actual swearing here! Wtf! That is not a bloody ending grrr. 4 stars, I'll probably review these 4 volumes as a whole. Read all in 1 day. Addictive, but don't expect an end. Damn my language is even blue now ;) (I'd say it's black, but I've not used all curse words lol) Erm... Review to follow but damn, I'm actual swearing here! Wtf!
