This series is seriously getting better and better with each book. How is that possible? In the last story, I wasn't the biggest fan of multiple POVs, considering most of the story revolved around Chase and Mil, but in Elicit, it worked wonders!!! Tex was amazing, Mo was fantastic, and I got to revisit the mafia life with my favourite group of bosses! Can't wait to continue on with this series.

I'm not touching this book. I'm sure Tex had his reasons BUT there is never a good reason or excuse to cheat. Then to know he brought OW home and sexed them up just to make Mo mad at him...that's a big Hell to the Fucking NO! I don't care the reasons, I don't care if he gets redeemed this book is simply just not for me. I'm also ending the series here. I've read reviews of the next few books and they just aren't for me either. I'm not touching this book. I'm sure Tex had his reasons BUT there is never a good reason or excuse to cheat. This book absolutely hurt my heart, numerous times. Don't get me wrong, its a brilliant story. There are about 5 major plot twists that will have you jaw dropping saying no,no,no!!! It was definitely a wild emotional roller coaster ride. "After all, I was a Campisi; we freaking breed mayhem." "Is he good, is he bad?" You'll be asking yourself that through the entire book. Good things come to those who read the story ;) I will say I was super upset about a certain event. It was such a shocker for me This book absolutely hurt my heart, numerous times. Good things come to those who read the story ;) I will say I was super upset about a certain event. It was such a shocker for me that I literally almost threw my kindle and stopped reading, but I owed Tex and Mo my full attention. I later then had to write a poem to Ms. Rachel to try and get over my emotions. I have never felt that much over a book. I understand it had to be done, but ...but.... I wish I could go on, but alas, I'm not allowed to spoil anything. I want to be Mo when I grow up. She is a kick ass character among most of the woman in this series. She's strong and self assured and loyal as hell, she knows what is important to her, family... Tex, the sexy fucker, is sarcastic and smart as ever, but with A LOT more edge.We really see his character grow in this book, and in the end we see him on his knees, showing TRUE emotion. That, I think, was my favorite part.... Now quit reading this and go get you some Tex and Mo...and lots of Kleenex...and maybe some Xanax ;) I give this book 5 BULLETS!!

Oh the tangled webs we weave! Like all the previous books in the Eagle Elite series this book weaves a magical spell of intrigue, violence, heartbreak, love and lust... YES I SAID LUST! Mo and Tex have a chemistry that ignites the pages with fire and yet cause you to soak them with tears to put out the flames all at the same time.... Elicit takes the "family" to new levels. When we left off in Entice things were up in the air between Tex and Mo. Tex is literally at the precipice of a life long decision. His blood, even though he denies his birth right, tells the world he is the Capo. Now the question that looms over his head is does he give up the family he's loved and embraced since being abandon by his true blood, or does he deny his birth right and become the dreaded Cppo... He did after all kill the last one! Nobody can fault Tex for the choices that he has to make in this book, he is literally stuck between a rock and hard place. With the love of his life, breaking his heart the choice you'd think would be easy but he struggles immensely in this book. You will cry for him and for Mo more then once. Their struggle to fight for what's right and what they want pushes and pulls you in so many directions you won't know which is the True North. There are several players in this book that will shock you. One of them begin Sergio, I found myself in a true love/hate relationship with his character. One minute I love him for his passion and his never ending fight for what he wants and on the other hand hate him for that fight at the same time. One of my favorite parts of this series is the girls, Mil, Mo and Trace. In previous books we have seen them go from school girls into gun carrying fighting women. At the end of Entice, Trace was wielding a gun and taking down the men just like the rest... Their fire and determination no matter how dangerous never fails to create some tense, and also funny moments. I mean it is a group that includes Mil after all... At times they are a little like the three stooges in the house with the three of them, but when push comes to shove they all have each others backs, no matter what, even if it means death. I can't say much more but I will leave you with this. This book will SHOCK you, a punch to the gut that will force you to loose your breath, and when you recover she will hit you again. Rachel takes you on the biggest roller coaster ride of emotions in Elict, more so then any other book in the series. Secrets are revealed and things don't always appear as the seem, but in the end you will be left begging for more...

I have to say I enjoyed the beginning (minus the prologue) and the ending, but the middle dragged just a tad bit and I was getting really frustrated. However with that said, sometimes being frustrated can be a good thing. If you are like me and don’t like foreshadowing, skip the prologue, you will miss nothing. So, Mo and Tex are enemies. Mo must marry Tex because she’s pregnant, only that it’s not Tex’s baby. What a cliffy to the last book huh? I really love the whole Romeo and Juliet vibe. Mo and Tex from two different families, mortal enemies, how could it end up well? There’s a lot that goes on in Elicit. There are plots, subplots, other character’s POV, strategies and plans within back up plans. It will make your head spin. I liked it, but it was kind of confusing at times. I mean, Mo and Tex love each other, but it’s not enough, but sometimes it’s enough, but not really. That’s kind of the vibe I got from the book. The best part was the climatic ending. I felt like I waited the whole book for the big bang and it was a good one. I wasn’t really sure on my feelings towards Tex, but after I finished I’m a true fan. So here’s what to expect. Expect a lot of drama, a lot of character involvement, a lot of POV and a lot of plots. There’s just a lot that goes on. Do I still love the series? Of course. Will I continue? For sure. I just hope the next one isn’t as complex and interwoven. Series Order REVIEW | AMAZON REVIEW | AMAZON REVIEW | AMAZON AMAZON

Told in dual perspectives, this book was one gut wrenching punch!! From the moment I got a whiff of Tex and Mo's chemistry in the first book of this series , I have been dying to get to know more about them. They were the side characters in the rest of the books and I took those small scenes of theirs as scapes and prices to feed by addiction to them. The moment they got a full blown book , none of you can imagine my joy!! Elicit was the book , where we got to know the family dynamics even more deeply. All those who have read Entice , know that things were really tough for Mo and Tex in the end. They had a true rollercoaster ride , that had me crying more times that I can count. Tex is destined to be the Capo of the family. Even though he denies that , he is still the one who has rights to that position. Now it is upto him to be the dreaded Capo , or to have his girl and live life as it is going on. Tex was my absolute favourite , his humour had me laughing so hard and then their were these painful scenes between him and Mo. I am totally in awe of the way Rachel wrote those scenes!! The wording she used , he r sentences and everything forced me to feel the pain with the characters. Mo was the sister of Nixon about whom we read in the first two books of this series. She was the princess of the house, but also had her dark parts.i absolutely loved the bond the girls had between them. We saw a transition in their characteristics in this book. Mo, mil and Trace were the epitome of perfect friendship! This book was hand down one of the best Mafia novels I have ever read. Hell, this whole series is amazing! I can't wait to see more of these characters . I am a woman obsessed to these amazing characters ! Rachel Van dyken has delivered so many punches to the gut throughout this book , I barely had time to recover before she dropping yet another twist that blew my mind! This series is recommended to all the hardcore mafia lovers! This mafia trope , is something that you have to read in order to call yourself a mafia lover! This series seriously keeps on getting better and better. I have always loved No and Ted, and even though the road has been rough, there is just so much love between them. Elicit is full on from the word go. There is tension, laughter, anger, and love, so much love. I also shed a few tears - ok more than a few - as No and Ted struggled with circumstances beyond their control that impact on them. And now, I’m going to try to write this review without giving anything away, which is going to be difficult because many things will happen in ELICIT that will blow your mind. No kidding. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars! When I started Elite, I knew in my bones that this was going to be an epic NA series. And it’s not just because there couldn’t be anything more irresistible than a bunch of hot guys waving their guns and knives around. Literally. The thing about the Eagle Elite series is that it pulls readers in and just takes them deeper with every installment. Elicit is the fourth in the series and I think it’s the most explosive out of the series so far. This time, it follows Tex Campisi and the choices he has to make after the events of ENTICE. If you haven’t read the first three books, I suggest you stop reading RIGHT NOW. At the latter part of Entice, Tex did something that would change the course of history for the Family. The blood spilled that day only demanded that more blood be shed. And the thing is, this time, it’s Tex’s blood they’re all calling out for. See the FULL REVIEW on Between the Pages Book Blog Elicit packs one hell of a swing, lemme tell you. Just when you thought everything is over, Rachel van Dyken hits you with a curveball that you won’t ever see coming. Damn. I was floored. My eyes bugged out literally and I couldn’t help but say WTF at the huge game-changer that Elicit kept between those damn pages. I was left reeling, that’s for sure. Elicit is filled to the brim with the heart-pounding action that I’ve come to associate with the Eagle Elite series. It starts running and doesn’t slow down at all. I was breathlessly turning page after page, not knowing if my favorite characters will live to see the next page. Then, in between the tense action, we see these tender moments between Mo and Tex and it was just precious and devastating at the same time. You know you want them to find their way to each other but everything just gets in their way. It’s painful and heartbreaking. Those damn onion ninjas might have even visited my room a time or two. The thing about Elicit is that readers are made witnesses as Rachel van Dyken breaks down her characters slowly. She peels off layer after layer exposing their nature, the core of their being. She roughens them up good. And once they’re nothing but a mess of roiling emotions, she builds them back up beautifully and majestically. Yes, majestically. There’s no other word for how monumental these characters rise from the sins they’ve committed and redeem themselves. The Mafia. Blood in. No out. Well, the same idea applies when you start reading this series, especially Elicit. This is one of the very few books that I was unable to putdown from start to finish. For real. It just hooked me right from the prologue and didn’t let go. I’m not even sure I’ve escaped its hold on me even though I’ve finished it. I have one massive book hangover because of Elicit. Rachel van Dyken just writes so fluidly and flawlessly. I can’t help by appreciate how well she is able to present the events. She blows readers away with huge shockers, then the story sort of pulls back and gives the readers enough time to process everything while, at the same time, setting up the next critical moment. There’s this flow and ebb that’s just so tasteful to read. There’s never a lull in the story and that makes it such a breeze to read. Another thing that I liked about Elicit is how vivid and immersive it is as a book. It didn’t take much effort for me to imagine myself in their world, in their story. It’s like seeing a movie play out in my head. Sometimes, I feel a bit like Alice falling down the rabbit hole into a wonderland of guns and bloodshed. All the research that Rachel van Dyken put into this book paid off bigtime. It felt honest and real all throughout. Whew, looks like I got through this review without giving anything major away. Good job, me! And you, yes, you! If you want to know what all the fuss is about, go pick up the book when it comes out on August 11th. You won’t regret it. Rachel van Dyken pulls out the big guns with Elicit. You won’t know what you’re missing until you’ve read it to the last page!

I've been a fan of Rachel's for years and if it's even possible her books are getting better! Elicit is a darker, edgier addition to the series and the writing is awesome. I have been Team Chase since the beginning, but there was something about Tex that was intriguing to me. This is Tex's story. It's sad, harsh, dark, heartbreaking and deep. He's not the funny Tex from the previous books. His intensity is extremely captivating. I felt like I was sitting at the table watching them interact. He's not the funny Tex from the previous books. His intensity is extremely captivating. I felt like I was sitting at the table watching them interact. Tex has some major decisions to make. He has to decide between his family and his "family." He knows what the right thing to do is, but can he do it? Does he have the strength to push away the memories and do what has to be done? Mo is a shell of her self. She's sad and withdrawn and can't stop thinking about Tex even though they are not together. I cried for her. I cried for Tex. I cried a lot while reading this book. Everyone needs a hug. Even Sergio. This book is such an amazing continuation of the series. I think it might be the best one yet! It was more emotional and more explosive! It's just more Mafia! I got worried a few times that something really bad was going to happen and I tried to remember that Rachel wouldn’t do that to me :) Do not miss this new book in the series. All of the Eagle Elite are back in full force and I found myself holding my breath and whispering "Oh No!" a few times. "Easy," Nixon whispered from next to me. "We don’t want to have to buy a new one." "A new Sergio or a new table?" I said through clenched teeth. "One's irreplaceable." "What? I looked down. "This is an antique?" Nixon smirked. "I mean Sergio, you jackass." "What?" I shivered again, cuddling closer to him, my back pressed so tightly against his chest I could feel his heartbeat. "Nothing," he choked out. "I just hate that I'm that freaking turned on my talks of violence." "It's the knives. " I swallowed. "Guys like sharp things." "Guys like big things." Tex ran his hand down my left arm, his fingertips dancing against my skin. "Shiny things too. Ones with dark hair, and bright eyes. Things that have dirty little mouths and kick ass habits toward gory acts of violence." "I'm sorry, I know you hate me" "I could never hate you as much as I love you. That type of hate? That depth of hate? Doesn't exist baby, believe me, I search for it every night that you lay next to me and I refuse to touch you. I crave it every minute of every day when I see your beautiful face." "I think a good old fashioned family dinner is in order." "Please tell me you're drunk." I rubbed my face with my hands. "I'll cook." Chase rubbed his hands together. "Fantastic. What? DO we pat them down at the door?" "What's a family dinner without a little gunfire?"

Each book draws me in deeper and deeper, but through them all I've always considered myself a loyal member of Team Nixon, so how is it one book, one character can completely take me by surprise? It's obviously because the author behind the words is a mastermind! I truly believe Elicit is the absolute best book thus far in the Eagle Elite series, and I cannot imagine anyone reading this story and being disappointed in it's main character Tex! He is everything I loved about Nixon; confident, sexy, powerful, protective and dominant yet he has this unique sense of humor and darkness, which really sets him apart from any of the other characters. Tex, a master at hiding his emotions from everyone except Mo, has always lived in the shadows, those not only those of his father the Cappo but also of Nixon. So what happens when it's time for him to fulfill his destiny at the cost of the only thing worth living for, the only thing which brings him peace and genuine happiness? I'll tell you what happens, you get a brilliant, enthralling, heartbreaking, epic story, which will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. Full of twists, surprises, secrets and schemes once you start this book you will not be able to put it down. There were times I even found myself wondering which characters to even believe much less trust. I really enjoyed the experience of being inside Tex's head, witnessing the struggle behind every decision, every move. I loved how RVD weaved memories of the past into the present, solidifying Tex was no longer a young boy with simple decisions and Mo wasn't just the girl he always loved to rescue, to make smile. Things now are now much more complicated where lovers and brothers become enemies simply because they're from the wrong family, but then again what is family? Is it the ones you share blood and a last name with or is the "brothers" you grew up with, the family you claim for yourself. Things in all of these character's lives are so much more complicated now and that it's become even harder to do break away from the old ways and do things differently, especially when your'e playing the ultimate game of chess where one wrong move leads to death. Elicit, isn't just a love story. Yes, there is love and passion and yes it definitely gets pretty steamy, but this story takes you even deeper into the lives and emotions of mafia gang! Rachel takes us places I never saw coming and leaves us with doors opening I never imagined existed! Fans of this series will not be disappointed in Elicit, and those who haven't already picked up and read Elite, the first book, what are you waiting for because if you haven't read this series your missing out! I was provided a copy in exchange for a honest review. http://romancerewind.blogspot.com/201...

By far, the best book in the Eagle Elite Series by Rachel Van Dyken, to date! I don’t know how she keeps them coming, packed with so much suspense, action, love, and absolute passion; it’s a winning situation for everyone! This is Tex’s story, who we’ve come to love as the “red headed step child” to the Abandonato clan. The image I had of him was completely twisted and distorted after reading Elicit, but I can honestly say I feel “closer” to Tex now, and can see through his eyes much clearly. This darker, more violent side to Tex has actually made me crush on him a bit, not taking anything aside from my main squeeze, Chase. Everyone has their part to play in this go around, and it’s beyond emotional, and it shows the mafia families at their best. Pulling together, bringing the past back to help secure the future, and just being all around badass! Let’s not forget the love and hate relationship of Tex and his long time love, Monroe, who happens to be the Abandonato mafia princess. Can you say HOT? These two have to be one of my favorite book couples of all time, and the pull they have towards each other is everlasting. As always, things can’t be simple for them, but what’s the fun in that! Fan flipping tastic addition to the Eagle Elite series, and Rachel is a total mafia rock star! BRAVO!

With so many plot twists and turns, so much traitorous behaviour, and so much violence I had no idea who to trust to do the right thing, if anyone. I was invested in this story from the first page, in fact the whole series has me on tenderhooks. So many surprises. I'm loving it

Rachel Van Dyken’s Eagle Elite series is one of my favorite series of all time. The complexity of its storylines and the multifaceted nature of the characters make each and every book a violent and angst filled adventure into the volatile Mafia world that Rachel created. The complexity of its storylines and the multifaceted nature of the characters make each and every book a violent and angst filled adventure into the volatile Mafia world that Rachel created. Book 4, Elicit, focuses on Tex and Mo who, when book three ends, are at a crossroads in their relationship. But this book is about so much more than Tex and Mo’s love/hate relationship. There’s a bigger story unraveling – one that is going to drastically change the dynamics of the Mafia families and force people to come out of hiding and fight for not only their family’s name but also their lives. The biggest thing that readers need to be aware of heading into Elicit is that nothing is what it seems…when you think the storyline is headed one way and you have things figured out, secrets are divulged that change the entire scope of the plot, and once you regroup and attempt to figure out a new game plan for the characters, another twist is inserted that will have you backpedaling once again to figure out how everything is going to play out in the favor of the Mafia bosses and their friends who you have grown to love. For Tex and Mo, the events that occur in Elicit are life changing. Tex has finally reached the point in his life where he needs to decide which sides he’s on…which family he belongs to in more than a blood sense, and as he struggles to make this life altering decision, readers will see 2 sides of him. Which one will win out is a complicated question to answer because Tex needs both parts to survive. He’s more than simply Tex, but there are also parts of him that make him so much better than Vito Campisi’s son. He’s a hero in Mo’s eyes, but he becomes a monster when necessary and that part of him is one that he doesn’t shy away from because he craves blood and death; in a way, it’s how he measures his worth…his usefulness to the family who adopted him when his blood family wished he was never born. But when there’s a possible mafia war on the horizon, sacrifices will need to be made, and in doing so, lovers will become enemies…blood will need to be chosen over love…friendships will be put to the test, and the black sheep of families will have to rise above in order to protect the lives of those they deem worth the risk. Elicit is a complicated game of cat and mouse, and the players involved will play both roles throughout the text. Each of the members of the Eagle Elite will have to step up in a variety of ways that will have readers questioning their sanity as well as their loyalty. But when everything is said and done and the smoke clears, readers will finally know where everyone stands and what the future holds for Nixon and Trace, Chase and Mil, Tex and Mo, and the rest of their families. This is by far my favorite book in the series. I never thought anyone would usurp Nixon’s spot at the top for me, but Tex does so easily with his words and actions throughout Elicit. There’s a reason for every one of Tex’s actions and reactions, and while there are parts of the story that will make readers want to beat him up a bit, he’s always thinking ten steps ahead of everyone else, which is why at the end, he’s where he belongs. A complimentary copy was provided in exchange for an honest review. 5++ poison apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

These are just a few things you'll find in Elicit, each will have you holding your breath both dreading and anticipating the next turn of the page! In Elicit, Rachel Van Dyken takes readers deeper into the world of the young mafia and the shadowy crevices of the Family, picking up where Entice leaves off. Tex Campisi was abandoned by his own family and taken in by his best friend's, the Abandanato's. But the day of reckoning has arrived, where he has to decide to take on the mantle of the Capo dei Capi or snub it and stay by Nixon's side. Either decision puts a bull's eye on his back. Either way he faces a future without Mo in it. The hardest choice is choosing the one he can live with. It's a good thing Tex has never done easy because it's going to be a long, hard road if he hopes to get Mo and himself out alive. After all; this is the mafia. Blood in, no out. Shocking revelations, devastating heartbreak, and edge-of-your-seat intrigue is weaved into a gripping story with never-ending passion and desperate hope. Elicit kept me up late into the night, turning the pages for more. I won't get in-depth with the story because I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read Entice or Elicit, there is a lot that happens in this book. So much so that I think it changes the whole direction of the series while still keeping to it's roots. Things aren't always what they seem and there were so many twists and turns you won't know which way is up by the time you're through. But one thing that is sure from the the beginning is the chemistry between Mo and Tex. These two ignite the pages with their desire for another, and the love that they fight so hard for. Both against each-other, against the world, and against themselves. The story is complex, the characters intense, and the group dynamics between Nixon, Trace, Chase, Mil, Tex and Mo is, as always, captivating. The push and pull between Tex and Nixon, Tex and Chase, Tex and Sergio, Tex and Mo, and even Tex and himself will really tug at your heart. Tex's character grows so much in Elicit, if I didn't love him before this I sure as heck do now! I love how him and Mo play off each other and Mo herself is a fabulous leading lady. Strong, determined, and someone who follows her heart even if that path leads through a dark, scary labyrinth. There were several other characters that really stood out in this story and took me by surprise. Believe me when I say that you will experience every kind of emotion possible while reading Elicit. The one thing that bothered me about this book I can't reveal without hitting any spoilers so all I'll say is that I hope there will be some repercussions of these actions in the next book and it isn't just swept under the rug. ☺ Bottom line; Rachel Van Dyken has delivered yet another must-read book and proven that she can provide readers with a series that has not only heart but staying power. I can't wait to see what she has in-store for us and the Elite next!

3.5 to 4 Stars... I am a huge fan of this series, huge! A new hot generation of mafias, what's not to love, there is drama, humour, romance, suspense and action. The story continues on the drama between Mo and Tex which left a quite intriguing ending on the last book. To make the story short, in this sequel, Tex is dealing with the aftermath of killing his father... And while he is fighting his demons... he also is left with no choice but to be what he is meant to be, the capo to the Campisi clan. 3.5 to 4 Stars... I am a huge fan of this series, huge! And while he is fighting his demons... he also is left with no choice but to be what he is meant to be, the capo to the Campisi clan. While Mo will do everything to keep Tex safe, even if he'll never forgive her for it. In the end… he would choose Campisi. In the end… she would choose Abandonato. In the end… there would be bloodshed. Like I said, I love this series, I love all the characters of this book, specially Nixon and Trace, well, mostly cause first impression last and their story started off this series. This time though, I hate to say it, some of the first half or quarter of the book felt just a little bit all over the place to me. I didn't quite get into it or I got kinda confused there for a bit, might just be me. ;) But anyway, all the pretence or the drama between Mo and Tex, the brooding.... it got tiring. But not all of it. I did want to hit my head on the wall if Tex says "I hate you so much, but not as much as I love you" one more time! Then there is the surprise resurrection of someone that was supposedly dead. At first I wasn't quite buying it, it kinda made me think of a soap opera, lol.... but discounting all that, I did love how it worked out in the end. And how about Sergio's feeling for Mo? That was a surprise. I thought it was going to be another Chase-Nixon-Trace kinda thing, but I'm glad it didn't go that way. But on the second half or last quarter of the book, the Mo and Tex I loved finally stepped up! So now we are getting somewhere! And then I was loving the rest of the book. ;) I love the intensity of Mo and Tex's romance and that breath taking suspense and action at the peak of the story. I love how the story came together in the end. Chase and Mil brought the humour this time... Tex though tries... but it's his turn to shine in this book. ;) This book is full of surprises, with just the right amount of angst... The story is also about second chances... I don't want to say give away any spoiler, so I'll just leave it at that. I know I said first half or quarter or second half or last quarter is confusing.... it is cause... while this is Mo and Tex's book... there is also a bonus novella that is of Nixon and Trace.... which, by the way, is just as adorable and hot as Nixon. Still loving the whole group dynamic.... that part never gets old to me. ;) Then there is a sneak peak of Eagle Elite book 5 and another sneak peek of another Rachel Van Dyken book that is "Bang Bang".... both sounds real good too to me.

Every book that comes out in this series seems to be my new favorite, but Tex and Mo’s story in Elicit blew my expectations away. Heart wrenching, gritty, and beautiful are the words I would use to describe the love between the ruthless soon to be cappo and the mafia princess. Tex and Mo always had a volatile relationship to say the least. Tex put distance between them because he knew what he eventually had to do, assume his role as the cursed son of the (now dead by Tex’s own hand) Vito Campisi. Mo responded in anger, as an Abondanato usually responds to anything. At the end of Entice, Mo asked Tex to lie for her in order to cover up a mistake she made, a mistake that anger towards Tex forced her to make. The one constant they had together was their ability to torture each other, and we don’t realize until this book how strong they love they had for each other really was. Damn her. I hated that of all the weaknesses in the world – hers was the one I couldn’t shake. The one I couldn’t overcome…I could die tomorrow, and her name would be the last thing to cross my lips. But we learn Mo has a secret, and everything isn't as it seems. For Tex to assume his destiny, alliances must form, and people must die – the same people who became his adopted family. In a world where friends shoot each other for sport, and blood is spilled daily, Tex and Mo become star crossed lovers, destined to be together but have to be torn apart. Know this…my heart will always beat for you and you alone, my friend, my lover, my enemy, my soul. Every interaction between Tex and Mo sizzled, even when they were only in the same room. They knew how to push each other’s buttons and get under each other’s skin like no one else could. It became a cat and mouse game that left me breathless to watch. Tex was intense to say the least. He was always the comic relief in the group, but now his best friends had to fear him as they no longer knew what he was capable of as Vito Campisi, Jr. In the end, is someone who they are because of the blood in their veins, or who they are because of what they choose. Tex isn’t sure, and neither are the ones who love him. Nixon and Chase are also the same. Tough as nails bosses, each with an alpha and vulnerable side that was sexy as hell. Nixon still thought and acted like a boss, but was always ruled by his emotions. Chase has finally moved on from Trace, but never wavered in his dedication to the family. And in all respects, that is what this crazy group of people was. Family. This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The steamy factor was also much higher in Elicit, adding to the chokehold of anticipation I felt. In the midst of all these twenty something mafia bosses, the same question is always asked – does love win out in the end? In the world of the Elect, it’s always destined to fail.

Elicit is a story of heartbreak, love, possession, power, and most of all, family. We know the families are all kinds of powerful and they care for one another with unwavering love and support. But what we see in Elicit is that this group of men are more like brothers than we ever saw before. Nixon, Chase and Tex are brothers in every sense of the word. I loved seeing their relationships with their girls in this book but also loved seeing how they interact with each other. We also see that he has a love for Mo that not a single man could ever match, and it just so happens that she feels the same. Mo is strong-willed, beautiful, determined and an Abandonato. The struggles they go through in realizing the demands of "the family" and what their expectations are of each other and what others expectations are of them is heartbreaking. This book will rip you apart and make you re-think everything you thought you knew about where this series could go. I couldn't believe the roller coaster of events that occurred. It kept my heart pounding and blood pumping through the entire read and I loved every word and twist and turn Rachel sent me through. If you have a love of mafia stories grab this. Now. If you have a love of love stories and unbelievable circumstances the hero and heroine have to go through to be together, read this. Now. Thank you, Rachel, for sending me an early copy so I could give you my honest review. But mostly thank you for continuing to make this series so unimaginable and beautiful that I can't wait for more.

The characters stay true to who they have been through the whole series so far. The best part is seeing them mature and the bonds they have made. I think that this book shows you how much "Family" matters, and it is the family you choose, not necessarily the blood. I loved being in Tex and Mo's heads and feeling what they were feeling. This book definitely made me cry the most, but let's be honest, I am a crier. :) I can tell you that Sergio is in this book a lot more, and he is NOT my favorite person at all. I wanted to kick him in the balls. I love that Rachel makes all the heroines badasses that have a great relationship with not only themselves, but each other. They are confident and lets face it, they are "Mafia Princesses" that like to pull guns and knives on their men. :) This book also has a HUGE SURPRISE that is what most of the book is about, so I cant give too much away, but do know you NEED to read it! The end ended kind of abruptly, but still good? Just be aware the book ends at 85% because there is a Trace and Nixon novella at the end and 2 sneak peeks into the next 2 books of the series, Ember and Bang Bang! NOW, we have to wait!! :( Thank goodness all we need to wait for Bang Bang is 3 weeks (Sept 8th).

When I first started reading the Elite series, I was beyond skeptical. How are people in their teens and twenties going to handle being in the mob or familia? I didn't see any of them coming. By the time I'd settled down, something else was happening to rile me up. I loved Mo and Tex together. I always have, and I always will. I love him for being their for Mo. I am so impressed with Rachel Van Dyken. She's managed to make me believe her stories. I love her characters. I root for them though their travails and cheer when they find success and happiness. I'm surprised how much I loved this book. I'm not really a fan of dark romances but am finding they engage me. I can't wait for Ember. I'm happy knowing there is more to look forward to!

I was fortunate enough to review Elicit before it came out and let me tell you it is a 5 star book!!! Elicit like all the other Eagle Elite's is just all around mind-blowing. I really could go on and on about this one but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone it is that good. This just gets better and better with each book and I don't know how I will survive until the next one. I can not get enough of this series and there is nothing out there like it. I've always liked and enjoyed her other series but I am consumed by this one. There are very few books I can say that about and this is one, if not thee one.

BLOWN AWAY! That's what I am after reading this book. The Eagle Elite series just gets better and better. My jaw hit the floor a few times and I wish I could unread this book and start all over again, it's that good. One thing that has impressed me about this series is that each book has gotten more mature which is needed to keep the storyline fresh. Tex's personality is different enough from the other guys where this is not the same plot over and over. Rachel doesn't really do sex in her books but holy hotness, this is by far the steamiest book of Rachel's I have read. And again, it works because each book needs a fresh feel and the characters are getting older. The sex isn't super detailed but it's definitely there. Please, please read this book! Tex is amazing and I am even considering putting him up on Chase's pedestal. This does tie up nicely at the end but leads you into the idea of the next book in the series.

For those yet to experience the Eagle Elite Series, I would Highly recommend this series.
