I admit it. My decisions to invest in Copyblogger's Authority as well as Jon Morrow's Guest Blogging Apprenticeship is a direct result of having witnessed Henneke's blogging moves over the past year and a half. Don't get me wrong. I was long acquainted with the voices of Brian Clark, Sonia Simone, Jon Morrow, et al before I had become entranced by Henneke's story. But these titans of content marketing and copywriting had been fully fledged by the time I had caught up with them. Henneke was just stretching her wings. Oh, she had plenty of talent and chutzpah from the get-go as well as the aforementioned superstar mentors. But I've been watching her go from incredibly good to enchantingly great in such a short period of time, I just had to learn her secret sauce. "Blog To Win Business" is THAT recipe. No fat. No fluff. Just tasty morsel after tasty bite. A quick enough read and yet something that begs for a reread. Her philosophy does not stray from her Copyblogger roots. Her humor and voice are uniquely her own. The extra bonus is the delightfully fresh and colorful illustrations she has penned and inked for each chapter introduction. This book is packed with bonus materials and hot-links to valuable posts. Do yourself, your blog, and your business the service of buying this book. But I would urge you further, to read and take action on the advice and counsel Henneke so entertainingly provides.

It's okay... but a little too spammy This author really doesn't pass up a chance to promote herself! Most of the links in the book direct you to her blog or a guest post of hers. There are some printables that don't require an opt-in, but there's a few that do require it. I don't know about you, but whenever a book directs me to an opt-in "freebie", it irritates me. There is some value in the ideas in this book, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth. Speaking of taste, Chapter 6 almost made me hurl. She used so many metaphors about food that I didn't want to eat anything for a while. She seriously overdid it with the food metaphors. Additionally, the information in it doesn't work for everyone. It's got more ideas for bloggers blogging about blogging. I mean, we should all try to look for ways to help our readers and she points that out, but the examples were mostly for her specific niche... definitely not for mine. I know we can't please everyone, but the target audience should've been specified in the book description. In the end, I gave it three stars because I still got some good information from it, but she definitely didn't win me as a subscriber.

I like this book but I sometimes think it’s full of fluff content. The same idea is repeating over and over again. But as I am newbie in the blogging world. I like it. If you consider yourself an expert, simply skip it to something more worth.

Some good advices there. :)

Some good tips, but sooooo formulaic. Blogging, and blogging about blogging, is to good writing what candy floss is to a nice creme brûlée.
Lucille Zimmerman –
Great writing tips.
