A cute and uplifting collection of little things that can make someone happy. I found myself nodding many times while reading and it made me remember that life is beautiful if we stop and relish it. The accompanying drawings are fun as well. Here are a few examples of what makes me happy (taken randomly from the book): - crossing the finish line - the smell of (my) babies - a well-made bed -liking cake batter out of the bowl - the afterglow of finishing a novel - the smell of early-morning coffee - mak A cute and uplifting collection of little things that can make someone happy. I came across this cute yellow collection in this bright tweet and decided in that instant to hop on to read it as soon as possible. And since I'd already read (and reviewed) Happiness Is … 500 Ways to Be in the Moment, I went on knowing what to except, more or less. Plus, these kind of vibrant collections somehow always arrive at the right exact time for my headspace. This adorable gift book illustrates 500 things to be happy about. These kind of collections never fail to brighten up up my day, and I'm beyond thankful that they exist. Plus, the ongoing use of the color yellow throughout this happy book fit like a glove. 3.5/5 stars Note: I'm an Amazon Affiliate. Baru aja ngalamin salah satu dari 500 hal di buku ini. "blowing out birthday candles". Yah.. itu bikin bahagia. Trus yang juga bikin bahagia : no dirty dishes in the sink, using a pen til the very last drop ink, kids helping without being asked, a library, a sleeping baby, waking up and realizing you don't have to go to work, getting lost in a novel, dan masih banyak lagi... So good for the situation we're living in right now! It's a little pandered to females, but it can also be viewed as gender neutral. I definitely recommend it! This book reassures us that we can find happiness in all sorts of things - big or small, if you are really willing to find it. There are 3 kinds of things covered in this book: 1. Things that actually gave me happiness 2. Things that would indeed give me happiness, I just have to wait for those things to happen 3. Things that made no sense to me :D (well, just me, it could very well bring happiness to people who could relate more to such things) I was smiling reading many of the things from this book This book reassures us that we can find happiness in all sorts of things - big or small, if you are really willing to find it. I could feel the gentle gush of wind called Happiness passing through my soul. What really surprised me was the fact that there were so many points in this book, that I actually could relate to. You could either read this book in one go (just like that) or you could savor each of the 500 things, reflect the incidents that takes you on a trip down the memory lanes. 4 points to this book!

A cute book of cartoons with a wide variety of things that might be happy inducing. Some of the items didn't appeal to me and even would create an opposing emotion (e.g.-scaring people is not only not fun and happy, but would be anxiety producing for me), but for the most part, I found these amusing and jotted some each day at the end of my journaling time as prompts for things to notice that make me happy. I will look into some of the other short reflection and line drawing books that the author has done.

A beautiful mini-sized coffee table book about various things that we can be happy about, from finding all your pairs of socks, to finally quitting your job. The book being mostly illustrated in a childlike manner shows us the little thing that we all do with our friends and loved ones that make our day special. That afterglow of finishing a book, the sound of a child laughing, the silliness of your SO etc. This book is one of many Lisa Swerling’s “Happiness is...” books with some overlaps. Cute, it made me smile. As I was digitally flipping through, I daydreamed about having a physical copy of it for the front room and having friends note down their moments of that particular happiness, at least for the major, unique, and/or idiosyncratic instances of happiness. I mentally placed friends and loved ones’ names by the joys I associated them with. The illustrations in this book are simply adorable!! Some of my faves include: Happiness is- when the vending machine gives you extra a view of rooftops hitting a piñata (happy bday memories...) meeting someone who loves the same books you do teaching being forgiven standing up for a cause a slinky, glitter (throwback to the 90s!) And, things I have yet to experience: sitting beneath a willow tree a shooting star chasing fireflies ...and so much more :)

Adorable! I didn’t realise that there are so many things in my seemingly boring life that could make me happy. This Aha moment! Sometimes I focus too much on the downside of life and it starts to blind me. Moaning and whining certainly wouldn’t help.I need to remind myself of the lovely things around.
