I have been introduced to TS. Eliot When I read: "Time present and time past Are both perhaps present in time future And time future contained in time past. If all time is eternally present All time is unredeemable. What might have been is an abstraction Remaining a perpetual possibility Only in a world of speculation. What might have been and what has been Point to one end, which is always present" One of the twentieth century's major poets. This book Worth every second I spent in turning its pages I have been introduced to TS. To be honest the literary criticism was fairly boring to me except for the ones on Shakespeare and Blake. The poetry was brilliantly beautiful enough to make any fault with the rest of the book fade into unimportance. He was supremely gifted.
