My first superhero comic book. I've always really liked Wonder Woman and found her empowering even though I didn't know much of her. It was an entertaining read and I didn't have any particular problems with it, but... I just feel that something is missing. Maybe it's emotional depth. I don't blame the book, Outcast really set a high standard for emotional depth in comics for me. However, I do understand that it may lack emotional depth because it's an action comic book. I don't blame the book, Outcast really set a high standard for emotional depth in comics for me. However, I do understand that it may lack emotional depth because it's an action comic book. Generally, the artwork was just alright... but there are several panels that really blew me away. The colouration and drawings just seemed to go together perfectly in those panels and the product was beautiful. To be completely honest... I do flip through and admire these panels quite often. The only thing that bugged me about the book was that the way Wonder Woman was drawn changes towards the end issues. I didn't mind the change of black to blue hair (although I do prefer her as a brunette). What annoyed me was the way her face was drawn in some panels. It just didn't seem right -especially after loving her character appearance in the first part of the volume. Also, I was really disappointed with how Hades was drawn. When the character first appeared, I suspected he was Hades but I was hoping he wasn't. He looks like a kid in cosplay. I feel that they could have done so much more with his character. The first time I read this, I had a few questions about what was going on in the story. I'm not the hugest Greek Myth buff, but I do know a thing or two about Greek mythology. I couldn't identify the Gods drawn, but after finishing the book, it all made sense. I appreciated the book even more after I re-read a few pages because then I really understood the purpose of some of the dialogues. Prior to this, I was uncertain I would like superhero books but this made me feel confident enough to explore more books from this genre. Overall, I did enjoy reading this and I will continue to pick up Volume 2 of the series.

After watching the new Batman Vs Superman movie, which featured Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, I was eager to learn more about WW and read some of her comics. After trawling through the internet trying to find where the best place for WW newbies to start reading was, I settled on Wonder Woman #1 (The New 52). I loved how bad-ass WW was and how we got to learn a little bit about her past and her origin story. I also loved the art style and how the characters were drawn. The Greek Gods had an interesting art and aesthetic style. The one thing I didn't like was how confusing the story was at times. It felt overly vague in places, and I often found it difficult to keep up with the dialogue - sometimes it wasn't clear who was saying what, or whether the dialogue was in the past or present, etc. Overall, a solid 3/5. I'll definitely pick up #2 in The New 52 series, but maybe not straight away.

I was looking for a comic featuring a "bad ass" superwoman. Naturally, Wonder Woman was the first name to come up. I wasn't quite sure what to expect because I know so little of her. I finished this book and was so stoked for more! She's confident, yet kind. She's strong, but knows when to be gentle. She not a stereotypical feminist, but is firm in her power of being a woman. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to any girl or woman if they want to read about a woman who isn't a stereotype I was looking for a comic featuring a "bad ass" superwoman. I enjoyed this graphic novel. It was my first foray into reading Wonder Woman and I am glad that I started here. The story was well written and the at style suited it will. Plus anything with Greek Gods is an instant win. I can't wait to find the next one. I enjoyed this graphic novel. It was my first foray into reading Wonder Woman and I am glad that I started here. After watching the Wonder Woman movie I have searched high and low for her comics and in what order I should read them. This issue seemed very entertaining! I'm looking forward to know what Wonder Woman's New 52 is about. After watching the Wonder Woman movie I have searched high and low for her comics and in what order I should read them. Wonder Woman and a modern take on Olympian Gods. YES, I'm in. I read the whole series and highly recommend it. The art is fantastic, the and the story is compelling. It's not perfect, but for each installment, I opened the book and didn't want to put it down until I was done. Wonder Woman and a modern take on Olympian Gods. YES, I'm in. While I am a fan of Brian Azzarello, this story was absolutely nonsensical.

So graphic it should have been titled Dark Wonder Woman. A surprising beginning the Wonder Woman comic reboot.

This is a rather dull romp through the reimagined Greek Mythos. With a hastily rushed plot and scenes of bizarre escalation just happening randomly ad nauseam, I don’t think I’ll be returning to the world of Wonder Woman any time soon.

Wonder Woman is my favorite superhero of all time. I've had my hands on some of her issues in the past, but was very disappointed in the way they were written and how flat she appeared as a character. I've heard lots of things about the New 52 run and many are negative about her arc (her basically being the superficial "strong woman" type and only that). With this in mind, I was skeptical at the start of reading this series. I did enjoy most of the artwork, but since I'm not the biggest Greek My Wonder Woman is my favorite superhero of all time. I still don't really agree with making Zeus Diana's father for the story, but I'm willing to stick around and see how this pans out. I thought Diana was illustrated (and I do mean illustrated by drawing - not otherwise) beautifully, but her character gave off a slight coldness that I normally wouldn't put on Diana.

I wasn't sure what I was getting into with this because I knew this was the new 52 and I had only been familiar with the old television show. Suffice it to say I was pretty happy with the results. The art is gorgeous and detailed, and the writing is engaging. We get to learn about Diana's origins, but it doesn't bog down the story that is being told. I feel as though this is a good place to start for those who want to jump into the Wonder Woman story but just don't know where to begin. This book to me was truly inspiring and fascinating. The adventures that Wonder Woman faces are so interesting, which just makes you want to find out more. I would highly recommend this to readers who love super heroes, action and drama. I also would recommend this book to kids in grades 3-6 or 2-6 depending on the reading skills.

I had high hopes for this, but I wasn't entirely blown away. Maybe it's because my background knowledge of Wonder Woman is a fuzzier than my knowledge of Batman and the other characters whose books I've picked up. It still intrigued me enough to continue reading, but I won't be beating down the doors of any stores to get the next one. I had high hopes for this, but I wasn't entirely blown away. Why have I never read this? I now will be reading that new book on Wonder Woman because she is officially awesome. Highly recommend! Especially because Greek mythology is involved which I find totally hip.

My first comic book EVER. The historian in me loves the mythology tie-ins, and it is a face paced story. Maybe once I am done with grad school I will read the rest. Also, I like the many different illustration styles.

I was not liking many of the new 52 story lines, than a friend told me to read the Wonder Woman issues, and I would love them, and yes I do. Has everything I love Wonder Woman, Greek Mythology, beautiful artwork, great writing, and women kicking ass. Love it

I am sad to say that this was just okay, I wanted to fall in love with the character again but the new orgin story is a bit all over and humorless. The Aquaman reboot is even better then this one lol.

DC took a lot of liberties with Greek mythology, but, so does Marvel. The storyline didn't flow well and some of the art was subpar. DC took a lot of liberties with Greek mythology, but, so does Marvel. The storyline didn't flow well and some of the art was subpar.

No tan penosa como el nuevo Superman, pero cansina y no le aporta nada al personaje. Añoro la época dorada de George Perez. Hasta el 32
