    You'd think that a book called Home Organization: Declutter your Home And Life Fast! would tell you how to tidy up your cluttered bedroom, over-stuffed closets, brimming basements, and topsy-turvy family rooms. But you'd be wrong. Home Organization: Declutter your Home And Life Fast! is more like the lectures that you get on life from an aged aunt who constantly harangues you with conventional wisdom as if she had invented these tired tidbits while peppering her monologue (you don't think she let You'd think that a book called Home Organization: Declutter your Home And Life Fast! would tell you how to tidy up your cluttered bedroom, over-stuffed closets, brimming basements, and topsy-turvy family rooms. But you'd be wrong. Home Organization: Declutter your Home And Life Fast! is more like the lectures that you get on life from an aged aunt who constantly harangues you with conventional wisdom as if she had invented these tired tidbits while peppering her monologue (you don't think she lets you get a word in edgewise, do you?) with arbitrary opinions that fossilized into gospel for her long ago. Author Susan Carter devotes a paragraph or three to most of the problem areas of the house, while dispensing the lion's share of her organizational advice -- wait for it! -- on the study. Yes, the one area that one has the most control over and is least likely to be disheveled. Go figure. Most of the book, however, isn't spent on organizational tips for your home at all but on bromides for better living. Did you know that you should eat healthier food and get more exercise? Did you know that you should drink two liters of water every day? That you'll feel better if you get enough sleep? That sex relaxes you? That socializing improves your mood and your people skills? That you should have three large meals a day? (Auntie Susan preaches the gospel of her youth rather than the latest scientific finding that more frequent but smaller meals spaced through the day. After all, her opinions were formed 30 years ago, and they should be good enough for you, young whippersnapper!) Carter's advice is either something that you already know or outdated. With a name like Susan Carter, one would presume that the author is a native speaker of English, but passages like this one -- rife in this book -- seem to indicate either a book published in a foreign language and then inexpertly translated into English or one penned by a person who is not writing in her native tongue: By diet, I am not only referring to what to eat, but also to when to eat it and how to eat it. A lot of people fail at the second part -- they skip breakfast and only have two meals, or even one a day, fact that will become, over time, chaotic. Moreover, a lot of people allow little time for eating, thing that will rustle their entire day. (Kindle Locations 277-279). See what I mean? At 33 pages (408 Kindle location units), this book would have been overpriced if it had been useful; considering that I would have felt cheated had the book been free, it certainly grates that I paid $2.99 for it. After all, even had the book been free, my time -- irretrievably squandered on this useless book -- can't be redeemed.
