Haleigh Cookson Clark has here a phenomenal story about an exhausted graduate student who mistakenly frees a succubus from her prison. Haleigh gives us a tale of an assertive succubus and Ethan, the confused and willing human who brings her into existence late one night when he has trouble sleeping. This is an incredibly hot and steamy tale with wonderful descriptions that brings the two lovers to life. The demoness, who gives her name as nothing more than "Mistress" easily ensnares Ethan with perfected seduction techniques and a flawless form. Missy, as Ethan accidently calls her is an incredibly wonderful and deep character who is more than just a creature of sex. She has a back story, a personality, and quirks that not only make her loveable, but easy to fall for. Haleigh's writing was so good, that I felt like I was there and that I was Ethan and the succubus was trying to make me hers. Ethan is more than just an unfortunate graduate student. Down on his luck, he is the victim of an overachieving older brother and parents to expect him to match is successful sibling. The human is personification of the reader who falls under the spell of Haleigh's wonderful storytelling. I kept trying to turn the page, but I had unfortunately reached the end of this sexy story. I only hope that Haleigh Cookson Clark continues the tale of Ethan and Missy so that I can continue reading about how this new relationship will effect Ethan and the other aspects of his life, including his girlfriend.
