This is a Big Finish audio book. Basically it's supposed to be a paranormal television show that shoot in Collinwood. What I want to do is just listen to the audio book and then give my opinion of the program. First, though, two descriptions of what it's about: The Big Finish description follows: “Ladies and gentlemen, we apologise again for the difficulties we’ve been having. If you’ll excuse the expression, it seems we have a ghost in the machine...” 40 years ago, the paranormal television show B This is a Big Finish audio book. Now, for the first time in forty years, you can hear the true horror of that fateful night in Collinsport... A detailed description can be found on the Dark Shadows Wiki page. Now for my own summary and review:. There's a take on the Dark Shadows theme song at the start. Tom is broadcasting from the cemetery at Collinsport. They are also using an on-line phone number. Tom talks about the legend of Mad Jack. The woman broadcaster talks about legends of witchcraft and vampiric activity. Late October seems to be the time for the main screams, smells of fish and so on. Maggie is interviewed. The woman talking from London is focused on the lack of total proof of any odd things actually happening other than the actual murder. The broadcaster at Collinsport says that they are looking for evidence of an actual haunting. They have some rather fancy equipment with them. Then there's something bad that happens. Maggie is telling them to stop the broadcast because something evil is happening in the cemetery. (The actress does sound a lot older, though, which she actually is in reality.) Maggie talks about some terrible dreams she's had. A caller says that Maggie is crazy and was in and out of an asylum. Maggie says she has heard screaming and finally the others start to hear it. Tom, the male broadcaster, starts acting nuts and hurts Maggie. It also turns out fights are breaking out in town and the small of dead fish. A woman caller is attacked on line by her husband. Another woman caller tells her people have to get out of the cemetery and that it's not Mad Jack but something very, very old and very evil. Maggie's been attacked and there is bruising on her neck. Things get ultra bad in the mausoleum with more possession and death and odd sounds. Maggie says 'the man's dead, Jim.' (Shades of Star Trek.) This is a very well done presentation, reminding me of Orson Welles War of the Worlds broadcast. It goes from being just a program with emphasis on debunking and disbelief on through actual events starting to happen and then to terrible things happening. You get a good sense of the events and the emotions that are coming out. Definitely worth listening to.

A british paranormal television show goes to investigate the mysterious death and murders of Jack Hutchingson, but things soon turn for the worst. This audio was incredible, it was bleak, terrifying and had plenty of lovely cameos from other characters from the show and audios which was a pleasent treat, lovely cameo from Colin Baker too. 10/10

This audio adventure, reminiscent of "Blair Witch Project" in delivery, introduced me to "Dark Shadows" and I've been hooked ever since. I gave this another listen recently and it literally scares the beep out of me! Still! :D Kathryn Leigh Scott's performance and anguish make it a truly amazing, frightening jaunt. Sent shivers down me spine! @[email protected] Gothic horror reaches into modern day, digital tech.
