(Read using Kindle Unlimited) This was a very basic book, and I wouldn’t say that it was good for beginner readers. This book contained 10 short stories, followed by a short ‘game’ which basically involved counting acorns, spotting the smallest bird in a picture, or following a maze. The stories also left a little to be desired, and as they were just a block of text, I really don’t think they’re suitable for a beginner reader like the blurb says. The first story was about a crab who was ‘crabby’, so his friend got him to play volleyball, and then he was happy. The second story was about a frog throwing a party at the park. The third was about a parrot getting dressed and having breakfast before his first day of school. The fourth was about a bee making honey for dinner. The fifth was about a squirrel who liked spring. My four-year-old seemed to like these enough, but I can’t say that I was impressed. 6 out of 10
