Some people become killers. Zoey born that way. Ever since she can remember, Zoey Aarons has felt the urge to kill. For eighteen years she resisted those urges and fought to be someone better than her base instincts would allow. In a moment of weakness and anger, however, she let go and took a life. That hazy Seattle summer day still haunts her, and as she begins college far Some people become killers. Zoey born that way. Ever since she can remember, Zoey Aarons has felt the urge to kill. For eighteen years she resisted those urges and fought to be someone better than her base instincts would allow. In a moment of weakness and anger, however, she let go and took a life. That hazy Seattle summer day still haunts her, and as she begins college far away from home, she’s afraid that she will kill again. She’s right to be afraid. Instead of leaving that fateful day behind her and starting a new life as a college freshman, Zoey’s about to be tested and face temptation in ways far greater than she could ever imagine. The prestigious women’s college that she’s attending on a full academic scholarship is in Cutter’s Circle, California, and Cutter’s Circle has a dirty little secret: it has the highest population of serial killers in the country. The town is up to its proverbial severed head in murderers.

Zoey Aarons is a top student about to begin university - and she's also a murderer. Having killed someone in her school 72 days ago, she's now beginning to feel the urge to kill again, but hopes her new radio show where dark thoughts and feelings are let out on the air, will help relieve the bloodlust building up in her. Great first issue made all the more amazing by the fact that Larime Taylor, unable to use his arms, wrote, drew and lettered this comic with a stylus in his mouth! I don't care what you think you know about this book you should be checking it out. There are so many little touches that make it perfect I just can't even explain. Only during my second (maybe third... oh yeah) read did I catch the blood spatter on the pages. It was so.. I can not wait to see how this radio show takes off. It's clear given Zoey's family, friends and acquaintances that stuff is going to start slipping I just want to know who else is playing the same game that Zoey is. Interesting set-up for a series I will try and catch up on. Protagonist is a girl starting her first year at college. She decides to start a radio talk show where people can share their darkest sides. She has a dark side too - she has constant murder fantasies, and has actually acted out on one - the first of more to come? Interesting family dynamics and primary characters, the supporting cast seems more stereotyped, but let's see. A special note for the clear, expressive art, all drawn by mouth Interesting set-up for a series I will try and catch up on. Protagonist is a girl starting her first year at college. This is a series that I've followed since one of its earliest incarnations when Larime was first working on it and seeing it published is great. You simply don't see many stories like this and we desperately need more, since it features a mixed-race female protagonist who has the depth and complexity that (sadly) such characters usually don't get in media. Additionally the way Larime makes a point to include diversity in terms of race, sexuality and body type really makes this book stand out, an This is a series that I've followed since one of its earliest incarnations when Larime was first working on it and seeing it published is great. My fiance picked up this comic after he heard about the plot and knew I would be into that stuff. And then he told me about the artist and how he draws everything with his mouth! I am blown away on every issue of this comic just from the fact he draws it with his mouth. Not to mention that his artwork is more realism than cartoon and even that is different and amazing! I'm really liking this comic and think the idea behind it is very very intriguing and can't wait to get my hands on more issues! A great first issue, I'm hooked. A bit like Mr. Brooks is a lady and goes to college. But in a town of fellow serial killers. Excellent start. A great first issue, I'm hooked. A bit like Mr. Brooks is a lady and goes to college. But in a town of fellow serial killers. Excellent start.
