4/5. I really enjoyed this volume for a number of reasons: It has reached the climax of the battle against Team Galactic, the main characters were reunited, the previous 10 Pokedex Holders make a cameo, and one of the fiercest and most mysterious villains of Pokemon Adventures returns! This series won't blow your mind but it's such a fun ride. 4/5. In this volume the three main characters get abck together after they've been split for quite a time in the (failed) attempt to protect Mesprit, Uxie and Azelf. For the first time, Volkner makes its appearance and, gosh, what an annoying character he is. I'm saying this because I simoply cannot understand how he does even reason. When called from Byron to train Candice and Maylene, he fights Platinum and the whole battle he asks about Jupiter's Pokèmon and battling style since he's deeply bored by the lack of powerful trainers and enticing battles around, however, when Byron calls all the Gym Leaders at Mt. Coronet to fight Team Galactic (aka, he would be eventually able to face Jupiter himself) he just drops the call and walks away. I mean, what? Really, I can't understand that. An honorable mention, on the opposite way, goes to Byron which confirms to be one of my favorite characters throughout the series. He was smart enough to make all the gym leaders move underground and helps them indirectly during the fight against the Galactic admins by using his mining ability and knowledge. Another honorable mention goes to Cynthia which for the first time hops out of the clothes of just a mere mythology expert and steps inside the shoes of the Pokèmon League champion. Just one question left: if all the gym leaders were summoned and the champion joins the battle as well, what are the Elite Four at? The last thing that had me worried is Diamond decision with the mutual agreement of Platinum and Pearl, to leave their Pokèdexes out to the grunt they are facing to free the three lakes pokèmon in order to distract him. I uderstand there was probably few things they could do, however, was it actually wise to go for such a choice? Even if that was the only path they could go through, why giving him all three of them, wouldn't just one do the trick?

3.5 stars It’s stuff like this that makes me glad Pokémon aren’t actually real. What a mind twister.

The As Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum race to save the legendary Pokemon captured by Team Galaxy in the previous volume, the various gym leaders of the region have realized that Cyrus presents a real threat and unite to try and save the world from Team Galaxy's nefarious plans. While the volume does bring the three heroes back together, they're not given much to do because this volume is mostly fighting. That said, the art isn't particularly exciting and the combat pictures lack energy. These are getting more dangerous and serious as we go along. The legendary in these books can deal with space and time.
