Mac Montgomery spent two years watching his father play matchmaker for his brothers and their wives and as the last Montgomery standing, he knew it wouldn't be long until all eyes would be on him. Mac Montgomery spent two years watching his father play matchmaker for his brothers and their wives and as the last Montgomery standing, he knew it wouldn't be long until all eyes would be on him. While he couldn't deny that things had worked out well for his siblings, the last thing that Mac wanted was to get married and settle down. He hadn't counted on his father not wanting to set him up with anyone. And he hadn't counted on Gina Micelli. After more than a dozen years away from her beloved family friends, Gina Micelli comes home to take care of her ailing father. Some of her most cherished memories are of the times she spent with the Montgomerys - and her crush on Mac. She was a child when she moved away, but now as a grown woman, the thought of seeing Mac again actually has her wondering at the possibilities. Ever the responsible one, Mac makes sure that Gina is taken care of during such an emotional time. He wants to see her as a friend, as the girl that he remembers from his youth. Unfortunately, the beautiful woman she has grown into has all thoughts of a platonic relationship flying out the window. Torn between honor and passion and peace or chaos, all Mac knows is that his life is never going to be the same. The timing is all wrong but for two people fighting for control over their own lives, their response to one another is anything but

I'm sure that she has caught crap for the decision...hell I've read a few reviews on here that all but bashed an amazing book just for not sharing the nitty gritty... come on people!! A book does not have to be erotic to be romance! When did this silly notion pop up?!? This book has more romantic moments in the first few chapters than some erotic books have combined! The characters are beautifully developed and so damn addictive that I honestly have no choice but to buy the next one! (I just have to know!!) The relationships grow and flow in such a natural and realistic way. The emotions that this book evoked were so strong that I was ugly crying and sobbing to the point that my hubs was concerned! I adore Samantha's writing style and, while I enjoy a good sex scene from time to time, I fully support her decision to leave it to the readers imagination :) Okay, I have ranted enough...just remember that this series is abso-freaking-lutely amazing and should definitely be on your TBR list!

I have loved reading all the stories in this series involving the Montgomery brothers........and their parents of course. I have to admit that the story of Mac & Gina has to be my absolute favorite. I really enjoyed that the brothers, Lucas & Jason (& their wives) were very much a part of this story. Even though the 3 brothers had a typical sibling relationship, at times the interactions between them were quite comical. And who could not fall in love with their parents, William & Monica?? Everyone wants parents like them. lol I would highly recommend this series by Samantha Chase to anyone who enjoys reading a series that involves a family. Any reader will enjoy getting to know and being a "part" of the Montgomery family

As with the other two books in this series, Samantha Chase does an excellent job of telling this story. It centers on the oldest and last single Montgomery Brother, Mac. This one took me a while to get through, not because there is anything inherently wrong with the story, just that the author had a habit of switching Points of View in the middle of a scene at the beginning of her career. It's hard for me to bounce around like that, so sometimes I'd get frustrated and set the book aside for a while. However, this is a sweet story about work-a-holic Mac and Gina, who is back to get reacquainted with her dying father. Mac's heart is in the right place, with his desire to let Gina find herself and truly separate from her mother's thumb. He just needed to talk with her about what she wanted. Gina's relationship with her estranged father was so heartbreaking to read about. Here was another man who wanted to make her life easier without actually talking to her to find out what she wanted. Reading about them putting aside their hurt feelings and spending some very special time together was beautiful, and I cried real tears as she said her final farewell. Gina's mother was a piece of work. I felt a little like her explanation to Gina at the end was just thrown in to be dramatic, since none of her previous behaviour indicated latent feelings for her ex. (If she'd truly regretted the divorce she should have visited him on his death bed. But whatever.) As for the lack of truly steamy scenes, I was not bothered. I've read stories where there is so much build up, hot and heavy kissing and dirty talk, that when we instead get a fade-to-black moment I feel cheated. I didn't feel that here. These books aren't strictly about sex, but about connections and relationships. The author does not skimp on those. It was nice to catch up with the brothers and their wives. It'll be interesting to read about their relatives being matched up, once I can get around my discomfort with the bouncing POVs.

This story brought tears to my eyes, it pulls on the heartstrings. The scenes between Gina and her father are bittersweet and Ms. Chase drew me in as if I was observing the action from her father's hospital room. It was a great story with quite a few tears but also with some love and laughter sprinkled through out the story. I am looking forward to William's matchmaking skills as he hones in on his nephews and niece! Can't help but to fall in love with the Montgomery's myself.

Gina is a bit of a brat; she's trying to be independent because she has let her mom rule her life for too long, which it's great, that she's realizing she needs to be independent, but I still didn't vibe with her personality. Also, I wasn't fond of the POV changing within the same chapter; I do like the dual POV aspect, but I just prefer if the dual POV is split between chapters instead. I listened to the story on Audible. The narrator did a good job; he fit both the male and female roles. Overall, I like the story, but it didn't amaze me.

Gina comes home to say goodbye to her dying father, but what she does not expect is the support of Mac, who she had a crush on when they were younger. But is Mac just helping her out because of a sense of loyalty to her father or does the feelings he has for her honest and true. Can this workaholic put Gina first or is Gina once again left alone to pick up the pieces? This is an emotional story, from laughter to tears, this book had it all. Another great installment in the Montgomery series.

William Montgomery has successfully matched his two younger sons with the women they're spending the rest of their lives with. They're both happy and content, but William still has one more son, his eldest, and trying to find him the woman who will show him that work isn't everything will be easier said than done. They're both happy and content, but William still has one more son, his eldest, and trying to find him the woman who will show him that work isn't everything will be easier said than done. Then he meets up with his best friend Arthur Micelli and while he jokes about Art's daughter and William's son getting together, William realizes that Art's failing health needs to take precedence to matchmaking. Mackenzie "Mac" Montgomery has always put family and business before anything else. His father nags him about spending way too much time in the office but Mac knows that to continue to be successful, he needs to make sure all is well with the company. He refuses to be the next "victim" of his father's matchmaking but when he's tasked to spend time with Art Micelli's now grown-up daughter, he's not sure if he can resist giving in to his feelings, regardless of whether this is part of his father's interference or not. Gina Micelli is hesitant about being back in North Carolina, especially since she still resents her father not fighting for her to stay with him after the divorce. It's been more than a decade since she was last with the Montgomerys, but they've welcomed her to their home and treat her like family. One look at the oldest Montgomery son and Gina knows that her childhood crush on him is back in full force, not that it really went away in the first place. She needs a distraction from her father's illness and Mac could provide it. Mac and Gina are very much aware of the fact that Gina's father is dying and that she will, at the end of it all, return to California. But what was meant to be temporary is turning out to be something more for both of them, and while Gina wants Mac to ask her to stay, Mac doesn't want to be like every other person in Gina's life, dictating upon her what he thinks she should do. Will it take some interference on the part of the Montgomerys to save this pairing or will fate play its role and deliver them a happily ever after? Stay with Me is the third novel in Samantha Chase's Montgomery Brothers series and is my favorite among the three so far. This one tugged at my heartstrings, what with the story of a father and daughter reconciling and trying to make up for lost time, even as the time they have left is very limited. That scene in the hospital with Mac encouraging Gina to say anything and everything she's ever wanted to say to her father had me teary-eyed. That Mac was there when Gina needed him most was so sigh-worthy. ♥ I understood the conflict that Mac was feeling. He wanted to do the responsible things, not just because it was what was expected of him but because that was the kind of person he was. Being with Gina gave him a sense of balance that he needed in his life. Their love story wasn't so much about William Montgomery's matchmaking, though he did play a role in it, but more of Mac and Gina deciding that they did have choices that were available to them. I really liked Stay with Me and happily give it four out of five stars. ♥

3.5 stars--STAY WITH ME is the third installment in Samantha Chase’s adult, contemporary The Montgomery Brothers romance series focusing on the Montgomery family of North Carolina. This is eldest brother Mac Montgomery, and childhood friend Gina Micelli’s storyline. STAY WITH ME can be read as a stand alone but for cohesion and series backstory I would suggest reading in order. Told from third person perspective STAY WITH ME is a story about friendship, loss and letting go. Family patriarch William Montgomery likes to play matchmaker and in this, he and his best friend Art Micelli hope to see love for their two remaining children. Gina Micelli has returned to North Carolina to take care of her dying father Art. At fifteen years old, Gina’s parents divorced and Gina was whisked across country and had rarely seen or spoken to her father since. With her return comes guilt and the knowledge that her mother’s controlling ways kept Gina distanced from her father-on purpose. As Art Micelli nears the end of his life, Gina finds herself heartbroken and in pain for a father who has never stopped loving his only daughter. Mac Montgomery doesn’t do relationships. With his two brothers married and starting families, Mac knows that his well meaning but meddling father has one final goal to see Mac happily married. Thinking Gina’s return was more of a matchmaking set up than a father/daughter reunion, Mac denies his attraction to Gina with the hopes of pushing away the woman with whom he is falling in love. The relationship between Mac and Gina is a friends to lovers storyline between two people who have not seen one another for years. As Gina struggles with her father’s impending death, Mac struggles with his attraction and desire. As in the previous storylines, the $ex scenes are implied and fade to black. My only wish is that more of the family history between the Micelli’s and Montgomery’s was revealed. It would have been nice to see the earlier years and the developing friendships. All of the previous storyline characters play a supporting and secondary role. Lucas and Jason’s wives take Gina under their wings with the knowledge that Mac will come to his senses-one of these days. STAY WITH ME is an emotional storyline especially the scene where Gina says goodbye to her father, and William Montgomery says goodbye to a friend. Keep handy a box of tissues-you are probably going to need it. Copy supplied by Netgalley.

I was ready for something a bit different and thankfully that is what I got. Mac and Gina were definitely a great read. Loved them together and everything that happened. Mac is another workaholic Montgomery brother. After both his brothers get set up by his dad he is a bit weary of his father setting him up as well. He doesn't want to settle down, but then he sees Gina. Gina whom he knew when he was younger, but now she is all grown up. Gina has always had a crush on Mac. She moved away when she was young and hasn't really been back since. Her parents got divorced and her mom took her as far away from her dad as she could. Her mom is a real nightmare, always telling Gina what she should do and getting Gina to do whatever she wants her to. Gina hasn't been living really, she is not happy, but it is what her mom wants. She doesn't really have a relationship with her father, but when she finds out he is dying she comes to spend some time with him before it is too late. Mac knows that this is a bad time for Gina, that she will have a hard time with her father being sick and all. He is there for her and supports her and slowly falls for her. He knows it is not the right timing, and he thinks things wouldn't work out for them because they are too different, but he just can't help himself. He is kind of a control freak, likes things neat and orderly, and Gina is this free spirit who just goes with the flow. He also feels like he needs to let her go and experience life. She has never really made decisions for herself, her mom always did, so he doesn't want to be yet another person who holds her back and makes her do what he wants instead of what she wants. He really does have his heart in the right place at times, but it is a tricky situation. I loved Mac and how sweet he was with Gina. And Gina is just an amazing woman once she lets herself be herself. Once she learns to stand up for herself she would be unstoppable. This was another great read, though I am sad there are no more Montgomery brothers to read about. It was a great series overall.

Hes running from a past that he has used to seperate himself from everything and everyone he had known. Former NFL star lost more than his job, he lost his self worth and who he was as a person. Was it fate that brought them together on their lil get away? Wait for , me was a cute lil story that didnt over do it on the sex scenes and that was a slight relief. I was happy to see that fate brought them together and marriage was their happy ever after.. It would've been a better story line if there was more background on the characters. This brings us to book 2 TRUST IN ME.. This story is mostly about Jason Montgomery. He couldn't be happier for his brother. He wanted nothing to do with a ball and chain with all the expansions happening in the company. Maggie Barrett has hid under the radar for as long as she possibly could., I do feel the character development was a bit stronger in Trust in Me. Jason thinks its a safe bet to hire Maggie as his assistant because she's married... Or so he thinks!!! After working out ALL their issues will Mrs, Montgomery successfully olayed matchmaker again? And now for Mac and Ginas story in STAY WITH ME (probably my favorite) After having to return home to take care of her father, she is flooded with memories of the Montgomery Brothers and the crush she has carried for Mac all these years.. I highly recommend reading The Montgomery Brothers Boxset because each story is better than the last.. Collectively I give this BoxSet a 3.5
