In comparison to the other Sesame Workshop books, this was the weakest of the bunch.

No author listed, Sesame Beginnings: At the Zoo (Publisher unknown, 2009) Points off for lack of information (almost everything). Another written-by-committee quick cash grab, with no author or publisher listed, trading on the Sesame Street brand name in order to sell cheap books. I never find these television character books particularly well-written or exciting. In this one, Elmo and friends visit a zoo and meet various animals. The rhyme is a bit clunky on some pages, but overall it's fine, just nothing special. L found this in the book pile when we went to open gym with her playgroup one week and she had me read it a couple of times before moving on to other things. Elmo and his sesame friends visits the zoo. They see lots of animals during their visit to the zoo. The friends also provides a distribution of the animals. Lesson: retelling which animals you saw in the book

This is a favorite book in my room right now with the babies all around 10-14 months. They enjoy hearing the story and looking at the bright pictures. The pages are easy for them to grasp and turn themselves and they LOVE doing that during story time.

This is such a cute book! It is definitely for younger children. A great way to introduce animals to children and describe them. I think children will enjoy the pictures, bright colors, and rhyming of the story.

My aged 2.5 child enjoys the pairing of some familiar zoo animals with some of the baby versions of his favorite Sesame Street characters. This rhyming board book is a good story time read for infants, as well.

Very cute book featuring the Sesame Street Babies visiting the zoo and describing their favorite animals. A treat for all littles - this book would be great before or after a trip to the zoo!

Anti-climactic....sort of ends abruptly after a buildup. Wish there was more animal selection.

Q: Tell about the middle of the story. A: I see a Zebra.
