lovebooksblogbooks.blogspot.co.uk I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review. I haven't read a poetry book in along time, I do own one which I go back to every now and again, it houses some of my favourite poems. But this one by Amanda Leigh is now going to stay on my Kindle permamently, and no doubt I will go back to this one time and time again! But this one by Amanda Leigh is now going to stay on my Kindle permamently, and no doubt I will go back to this one time and time again! All of the poems were really good, and the photographs Amanda had taken herself too were beautiful. Very simple photographs, but I really liked them. There were 2 poems in particular that stood out to me. Here they are: (both poems are copyright of Amanda Leigh, she has given me her permission to use them) The Horses Cool wind flying through your hair. You hear the loud steps. You run faster. The steps get louder, you see the place you want to be. You slow down. The steps aren’t as loud. The wind isn’t as cool. You’re close. You then slow to a stop. The steps and the wind stop. You are thirsty, and you see an astonishingly beautiful, clear lake. You then go there slowly. Bending down to take a sip, you feel the fresh cool water trickling down your dry throat. You see another who looks thirsty. Walking over to them, you nudge them on the back. They look at you, and you gesture toward the lake with your head. You and the other walk over there, and you are content and you are happy. You are home. I Love The Way... I love the way we are when we’re together. The way you hold my hand. The way you sing me to sleep. The way you wipe away the tears that I cry. The way you kiss me before we say goodbye. I know we’ll be together forever. Our love will never die. I thought these 2 poems were beautiful. 'The Horses' sounded just right, so natural. 'I Love The Way...' is very sweet, and I would love to think everyone gets to feel this way in their lives, I know I do. A fantastic book of original poetry and photographs by Amanda, if you haven't read it already, grab yourself a copy!

    Autumn (Triquetra Reviews)

Hello there! This is the first review in a few days since I wanted to make sure that people saw the birthday giveaway! Speaking of that giveaway THIS book is one that I'm giving away with the journal and pen so that hopefully you can go on to write your own poetry book! I'd like to give a special thanks to Amanda Leigh herself for giving me a copy of this to read and review and then pass along to you guys! The cover is really awesome and I believe is the author's own photograph - how cool is that? Hello there! I'd like to give a special thanks to Amanda Leigh herself for giving me a copy of this to read and review and then pass along to you guys! The cover is really awesome and I believe is the author's own photograph - how cool is that? This is the first poetry book that I've reviewed on here so that's also a fun first! I'm giving this 3 triquetras because I feel like maybe the poems could have been grouped together. Also, I like poetry, but it seems that I just can't critique. Just because this is 3 instead of 4 doesn't mean that I disliked it - so don't take my word for it. You might love everything about this little book! I was hoping that the poetry would take me on some sort of journey, but rather seems to be snap shots through time, which is fine, but it didn't really jive with my brain. Maybe I'm just not adept at reading poetry? The photography was pretty good, very simple, but captured a lot in the meantime. All in all if you like poetry, like photography or the arts at all I think this is a worthy read. I hope whoever wins this enjoys it!

Beautiful and charismatic! Thousands of Mornings is originally and moving! I've never been one to love poetry, but Amanda's poems have captured my heart! There is a tenderness to each poem that even when I turn back to a page, I find something new and captivating from the first time I read it! This is a collection that everyone should add to their shelves!! Beautiful and charismatic! Thousands of Mornings is originally and moving! Wonderful collection of poetry and photographs. I enjoy owning books that I can open up and re-read a passage and find something new and beautiful each time I read. I got a copy of this book for an honest review. Let me start off by saying just because I gave this 3 stars doesn't mean I hated it. It was good but poetry books have not really been my first choice to read. But just because its not my cup of tea doesn't mean it might not be yours. The photos were beautiful and some of them seemed like they went along with the poem that came after it. When reading some of the poems I could get a sense of what the author was feeling when she wrote it. The ones deal I got a copy of this book for an honest review. ToM is a very lovely collection of Poetry and photography. I could the author/photographer is really passionate about her work. The poetry is thoughtful and relateable with a few standouts that I reread over and over liking the way it sounds aloud. The Photos were simple but outside of the box in an orginal way. I really enjoyed the overall aura of the book.
