"The Miraculous Revenge" is about a supposed supernatural event happening in a graveyard. Zeno a disagreeable nephew of the Cardinal Archbishop. He is sent to investigate the truth of the miracle in a small place called Four Mile Water. Zeno tends to dislike other people who do not appreciate his intelligence and the way he lives his life. He ruffles a few feathers with his behavior. This causes some animosity from others. A man is sent as a secret agent from the Cardinal to investigate a miracle. After a local notorious sinner was buried in a holy graveyard, the entire graveyard, overnight, ends up on the other side of the river. A clear miracle to anyone who looks at the ordinance map. The "spy" is rebuffed by a local girl, struck by her boyfriend, and treated badly by the local Priest whose reputation is on the line. So, he has his revenge. He digs up the sinner at "The Miraculous Revenge" - clever and funny. A man is sent as a secret agent from the Cardinal to investigate a miracle. After a local notorious sinner was buried in a holy graveyard, the entire graveyard, overnight, ends up on the other side of the river. A clear miracle to anyone who looks at the ordinance map. The "spy" is rebuffed by a local girl, struck by her boyfriend, and treated badly by the local Priest whose reputation is on the line. So, he has his revenge. He digs up the sinner at night and moves the body to the new location of the cemetery. Sure enough, the graveyard moves back to its original location to get away from the sinner. The Priest is removed.

Hmmmm....this was a funny and yet strange little read. It was quite short and moved very quickly. A young man,Mr. Legge, the archbishop's nephew, goes to see his uncle and is sent to Wicklow, Ireland to investigate a supposed miracle. A man died from the village and was buried in the Church graveyard against everyone's wishes. He was an awful man who did not even believe in God so no one wanted him buried in sacred ground. The night of his burial the whole graveyard, plants, graves, tombs, every Hmmmm....this was a funny and yet strange little read. It was quite short and moved very quickly. A young man,Mr. Legge, the archbishop's nephew, goes to see his uncle and is sent to Wicklow, Ireland to investigate a supposed miracle. A man died from the village and was buried in the Church graveyard against everyone's wishes. He was an awful man who did not even believe in God so no one wanted him buried in sacred ground. The night of his burial the whole graveyard, plants, graves, tombs, everything and everyone miraculously moves to the other side of the water. The young man Mr. Legge is not the most stable person anyway and falls in love with a girl who is the neice of the local priest. When she does not return his feelings of love and he is found out to be an English spy sent to investigate them, Mr. Legge is thrown out. He decides to move the body of the hated man so he will be buried with the rest of the people out of spite, but just as he finishes burying him, he looks and the graveyard has once again moved back to it's original location, leaving the hated grave alone again. Mr. Legge hurries home and waits as the investigatory group decides that the local priest was lying and made up the story about the miracle and he is banished.
