Don't let the "for kids" in the title fool you, this is a book for just about everyone. It was like scanning a great Pinterest board. My children and I made several of the easy recipes and they turned were good. We also found some excellent garden projects to do in the spring and created a "windowsill salad". I really enjoyed the gardening section of this book - there were plenty of approachable, fun activities and very clear gardening advice with step-by-step pictures. The cooking section had a number of good ideas too - but nothing that I don't already make or would want to prepare as an adult. I suspect a child would be more excited for the cooking section than I was. I worry some of the recipes were a little ambitious for children to whip up - but why not try? This is my new go to gift for books for young kids. This book was dynamic! It discusses the basics and a very simple laid out manner. Numerous recipes are given that kids will love to eat. They are at various levels of cooking but will still require adult supervision. I loved the outside projects too.
