Go Ahead, Talk to Strangers: The Modern Girl's Guide to Fearless Networking is really well written and edited, and the content is logically broken down. Ms Graham provides a lot of useful information and she's really good at peptalking. I am somewhat shy in new situations, and after reading only the first third of this book, I went out and applied it at the staff retreat where I just started interning. Normally, I would have stayed home for fear of ending up off in a corner by myself all night, b Go Ahead, Talk to Strangers: The Modern Girl's Guide to Fearless Networking is really well written and edited, and the content is logically broken down. Ms Graham provides a lot of useful information and she's really good at peptalking. I am somewhat shy in new situations, and after reading only the first third of this book, I went out and applied it at the staff retreat where I just started interning. Normally, I would have stayed home for fear of ending up off in a corner by myself all night, but I went and even managed to keep the conversation lively on my end of the table. The end of the book has a huge list of networking resources and I found out about two professional women's networks that were perfect for me, plus several other sites that looked interesting or informational. Go Ahead, Talk to Strangers: The Modern Girl's Guide to Fearless Networking is definitely worth renting or purchasing for all the women out there who get a little or a lot nervous at the thought of talking to people they don't know.
