Second chance story where heroine is divorcing the hero after she had a miscarriage. Hero hits his head and has amnesia. Heroine is roped into helping hero recover. I couldn't get past the shrewish heroine or the stubborn hero or all of the hero's dopey brothers waiting in line for their sequels in the series. I think I've read this scenario one too many times. The story is about only love is not essential to make a marriage work,TLC that is TRUST LOVE COMMUNICATION these three things are really important in a marriage here we had love & trust but due to lack of communication the marriage went on rocky patch.Sam-Bria both are warm caring sweet characters, both realize their share of mistakes which brought their marriage to such state, both make efforts and manage to get their HEA. Overall a good read.

3,5 stars I didnt expected to be this good.it was a nice short story. This is a rare case of a really really nice H. They both were nice, good people. I liked the fact that the amnesia plot didnt took a lot from the story. He remembered quite quickly and then tried to get her back. PS: the brothers seem fun. maybe i will read their books

Sam and Bria are getting a divorce because he is a workaholic and wasn't there for her when she had a miscarriage 5 months ago. Now she has returned to get his signature on the divorce papers, but an accident causes him amnesia and he doesn't remember that Bria has left him. Bria decides to live with him until his memory returns and pretend they are still married. Sam's memory returns soon but he is determined to win back his wife so he hides that fact from her. When Sam regains consciousnesses he doesn’t remember the last six months, so he doesn’t remember that Bria and he were on the verge of getting a divorce. Bria is unsure of what to do but his brothers (not biological brothers, 6 troubled teenage boys that were sent to the Last Chance Ranch instead of jail.) convinced her not to tell Sam anything about the last 6 months and have her live with Sam again. As Sam slowly regained his memory, he remembers the things that made Bria unhappy in their marriage and went about rectifying them because he could not lose her again. But would it be enough? Being with Sam and having her be able to act like a wife made Bria reconsider the divorce, until she discovers that Sam’s memory had returned a full week before. Awesome read. Kathie DeNosky is embarking on a new series called The Good, The Bad and The Texan about 6 troubled teen boys who were sent to a ranch and became successful, honorable and upstanding members of society. Can't wait to hear all about Nate, T.J, Ryder, Jaron and Lane (the other 5 brothers with only Nate being biological). I love seeing a tough, rugged cowboy brought to his knees and Kathie is one of the best writers to do this. She could’ve taken this story in another direction where Bria took advantage of the situation but instead Bria was leery. This time it would be almost impossible to walk away from Sam again.

Just as Bria Rafferty is delivering her husband Sam divorce papers for his signature, he’s injured at their charity rodeo when he gets distracted by her arrival. With short term memory loss, Sam doesn’t remember the last six months: The pending divorce, Bria’s miscarriage and all her arguments on how miserable she is with him constantly being on the road with his livestock company. When his brothers ask her to move back into the ranch house to keep him from stressing out over the news until he remembers, Bria finds herself back with the husband she doesn’t truly want to leave. Over the next few days, Bria is reminded of the happy, early days of their marriage and the happy years they dated. As Sam gets flashes of his memory, he soon realizes Bria doesn’t live at the ranch anymore. Keeping gaining his memories to himself, he begins trying to win Bria back by being the husband he wasn’t before. He’s finally realizes why Bria felt the way she did before like he didn’t before his accident. But when Bria finds out Sam kept quiet about gaining his memory back she feels manipulated and quickly moves back out. Unlike the first time he and Bria separated, his brothers are not keeping their opinions to themselves. Urging him to make one final attempt to bring his wife back home and to do that, he needs to open up about his childhood. At hear apartment, Sam does finally speak for the first time about the death of his mother, his good for nothing father and his teen years of crime with his brother before being raised on the Last Chance Ranch. With an understanding of his work ethics, these two are better prepared to work out their differences, especially with a baby on the way.

Good book. Bria and Sam still loved each other, but Bria couldn't live with him anymore. Sam started getting his memory back pretty quickly, but didn't tell Bria because he wanted a chance to make things right. He had trouble understanding what went wrong, because he hadn't really been listening when Bria tried to tell him. As they spent time together, he finally started to understand what her complaints had been. He also understood that a large part of it had been his refusal to share his past with her, so that she could understand why he was the way he was. It took her leaving again for him to realize what he needed to do. I really liked all the brothers and the way they looked out for Sam and Bria. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series.

The author did an okay job of emotionally connecting the reader to the characters, however the plot was kind of boring. Maybe Basically, it's because it was too predictable. After recently being disappointed by the quality of Young Adult books I keep finding, I tried this genre, only to be disappointed in other aspects. Is it too much to ask for a book with good writing, surprising plot, and an emotional connection to a life-like character? I keep finding books that offer only one of those options, which is not good enough.

3.5 Stars! His Marriage To Remember was a pretty quick read and a delightful one. I was surprised at how I enjoyed this marriage-on-the-rocks trope since I try to avoid them as much as I can. Maybe because of the way Kathy Denosky wrote this. It was well-written and believable. The author had me emotionally connected to Sam and Bria. I feel the pain they both experienced and felt the happiness when they found the happiness ever after they deserved.

1st in a series. Hurt in an accident, Sam loses his memory of the last six months...and that his wife Bria was divorcing him. A touching story of a couple who obviously love each other but have a hard time communicating with each other. A great start to The Good, The Bad and The Texan series.

This was an easy read on second chances. Short and sweet. Hero was not a jerk. The heroine, battling her existing love for her husband, was sweet and compassionate. It was clear they both cared for each other. What ensued was a bit of neglect from the husband's part and miscommunications. All in all, a lovely read. This was an easy read on second chances. This was one of those nice stories about nice people. He just wants to be the best husband and provider he can be and he can't understand why Bria doesn't see and appreciate that. Bria is just tired. Tired of being alone while Sam builds his empire, tired of being unneeded by her fiercely independent husband who wont even let her stick a bandaid on an injured finger. Tire of feeling useless. When Sam isn't around on the day their dreams were lost that's the final straw. When he loses his memory it is only her guilt about the injury that forces her to hang around to help him recover. She has a new independent life planned away from the ranch. Forced to spend time with each other, both Sam and Bria learn quite a lot about each other and Sam especially starts to understand what drove Bria away from the marriage. But mending what went wrong may be a different matter with so much hurt and lack of communication behind them. Both Sam and Bria will need to make a leap of faith to mend this marriage and get them the happy ending they deserve. For a Desire the heat levels were fairly low. Plenty of sizzle between the protagonists but sex scenes were minimal, appropriate to the story line and relationship issues. This is the first of a series about six foster brothers who have made good and we meet them throughout the book in readiness for their individual stories in The Good, the Bad and the Texan.

#1 in The Good, the Bad and the Texas romance series This is a fairly nice contemporary romance, in the Harlequin Desire style (which means it's quick and easy and light). Our hero has had a difficult upbringing, ending up in a foster home and becoming a highly motivated and successful adult. Although, because he hasn't shared his background with his wife and because he is a guarded workaholic, she's now in the process of divorcing him. As he begins to remember, he starts to realize what he's been doing wrong and works to change so he can save his marriage. The book was just OK because Sam was pretty much of a neanderthal, thinking he has to be...big, strong man...and not be a partner to his wife. I didn't find him particularly attractive, although I could understand how his upbringing led him to this attitude. Bria loves him despite his Tarzan attitude, but I found her to be pretty whiney. She complained about Sam all the time, but it didn't seem as though she did a lot on her end to help their marriage--just complained about his failings. Eh, nothing special. I didn't hate it, but I'm not sure I'll continue with any more in this series.

I like Kathie DeNosky's (KDeN) books and this was no exception. It was a straight line romance with a few surprises but KDeN delivered on the emotional. Sam was good but stubborn in a way. And after finding out about his past it made sense. Bria was okay and still sore from losing her baby so... I guess if there was one thing I didn't get was they went out for two years and were married for three so I guess I do understand a review that said Bria seemed very shrew and judgemental. At first I was real suspect. I'd never read a Harlequin book before. Repetitive at times (constant phrases to the effect of "it had been so long since she felt this way after such and such happened" etc.). It was like a constant recap. The story was told from both his and her point of view--without making it obvious. The shifts were seamless. The pacing was excellent. Never too slow, never too fast. A quick and easy read. This was, hands-down, the best Desire I have ever read. I was literally crying from about page 3. (That has never happened before.) You can just see the love between the hero and heroine from the start and though I know that we'll eventually get our happily ever after (it is Harlequin, after all), the two characters wanting different things in life seems so insurmountable that I really believed it. It was my first Kathie Denosky and I will definitely be reading more of her! This was, hands-down, the best Desire I have ever read. I was literally crying from about page 3.
