This book is an excellent guide for Hollywood newcomers to learn the proper tools of networking, giving "good meeting" and positioning yourself for maximum career potential in the industry. Heck, this isn't my first trip to the rodeo, and I still found some good tips here; I revised my resume after reading it and am looking forward to putting into practice a number of the other techniques I picked up from the book. So, in the spirit of recent events, I figured the next non-fiction book I’d review should be one that helps to orient newcomers to the new landscape. And boy, is this the orientation to attend! For those of you with stars in your eyes, looking to “make it” out in big bad Hollywood, you need a plan. In particular, you need a “game plan”, and this book is definitely the one to read for that. “Hollywood Game Plan” is really one of the best books I’ve read thus far on how to make it in Hollywood. I’m following the advice of this book to the letter, and not only am I feeling WAY more prepared to take on the industry as a writer and aspiring producer, but I’m also seeing results already! In the way I see myself, in the way I’m preparing, in the way I manage my expectations and interpret my interactions in Hollywood, everything. Kirschner’s advice helps you to prepare yourself for all aspects of life in the industry (professionally, socially, mentally). From scoring an internship to preparing a creative portfolio, Hollywood Game Plan LITERALLY gives you just that: a plan you can use and execute to achieve success. Kirschner even gives you moving tips and quality-of-life advice for Los Angeles! You really can’t beat this one with a stick. Mrs. Kirschner obviously knows her stuff, and I only hope that Hollywood has more talented, insightful, and helpful people such as herself. This is definitely a book to invest in!

This book is a good book to read to understand the Hollywood industry. Otherwise, the realities, currently that this book has, definitely hasn't played out in the current or past realities on a national level. Hopefully the book does play out soon in the next selection of the Industries "celebrity" community. But who knows.... Hollywood is a corrupted industry. Quite honestly, the worst of all the USA corporate Companies. Who am I to judge. I'm not White. I don't have that privilege to an opinion. Hashtag# I don't have White Privilege, because I'm ethnic and don't have literary, even if I have a reputable private college education. Oh white supremacy, and the ignorance of the White American people. Thinking they're not supremacy, and being delusional, when in all reality, the whole country's culture is White supreme like. I'm not trying to be controversial. I'm just the reality of the life in the USA I a review, and the reality of the Hollywood industry. If you don't like my opinion, then do something about the problem, because I'm not the problem. I'm not white. Unless, you want to continue with White history, and participate in all the films that are out there. War. Divide and Conquer is defiantly iconic in White History. #White #Privilege.

This book has helped me for years! I first picked up a copy when I was a junior in college, trying to land an internship in Los Angeles. Carole's tips on interviewing, preparation, and etiquette led me to landing two internships that summer. Because of those industry internships, I was able to secure a paid internship at NFL Films followed by a seasonal position with the company right after I graduated college. Excellent book so much!! If you are trying to break into anything in Hollywood check this book out. I was reading for entertainment broadcasting. Believe it or not they don't have a lot of books out there about breaking in. Now I have a huge amount of tips from the notes I took for me when I finally make it down to Hollywood. This for anyone breaking into anything. I am sure I can get a job now in HW when I do make it down there hopefully by 2015. Thanks so much. :) Excellent book so much!!
