3.5 stars I was gonna give it 4 stars, but in around chapter 8 or 9 the author uses some terms quite often that most people wouldn't know the meaning of and doesn't define them, which was really frustrating because then I had to google them. (i.e., dryad). Other than that, the book was well-written and engaging and I enjoyed reading it. 3.5 stars I was gonna give it 4 stars, but in around chapter 8 or 9 the author uses some terms quite often that most people wouldn't know the meaning of and doesn't define them, which was really frustrating because then I had to google them. Good overview of the key research. Would work well for a textbook.

Very easy read, which I think is a great plus considering the topic. Helped me prepare my exam, but I recommend it anyway.

I used this book to teach an undergrad class and would use it again. If I had time I would look for another book - just for comparison. I did learn with this book though.

It was a good overview of Gender and other topics. But the author’s biases were pretty apparent in some cases. I would expect more objectivity from a textbook.
