   The "In Death" series is about Lt. Eve Dallas. She is the top murder cop in New York in 2057. The stories are gritty, entrancing, Romantic and with humor thrown in for good measure.    They just keep getting better and better! This is my all time, numero uno, favorite series! I own and have read or am in the process of reading every book in this series. From Naked in Death when you get sucked into Eve's raw and gritty world and then teased with Roarke's world of glitz and glam to every heartbreaking crime after, they are all marvelous. I devour every word and I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to admit that I reread the series twice a year every new book is published. They just keep getting better and better!    I don't usually like futuristic books but these are not too over the top about the future. Eve Dallas is one of my all time favorite characters. She's a cop in 2042 New York, in the 2nd or 3rd book she marries mega-rich Roarke who used to be on the "shady side of the law". Their love story is so touching, they both feel lonely until they find each other. I've read almost all of the In Death series books and have not been disappointed in one yet!     The In Death series is a must read. My favorite character is LT. Eve Dallas of the NYPD homicide division. She is a get in your face, energetic and fun loving character who will stand for the dead till the end.
