By purchasing them when they are grouped together like this...it is really hard to put them down and go to something else. It is like eating one of my guilty pleasures, Honey Dijon Kettle Chips. You pour a few out and before you realize it, you have finished the bag... But I Digress... By having entries 11-15 right there in your hot little hands...It becomes natural to just keep reading until there isn't any more to read. The pull to pick up right where Eve and Roarke have left off is too enticing. Robb purposely leaves little hints and threads at the end of each tale to tease the reader to desperately want to know more. Because these books were released 2 a year...having them together like this is a delight. We are able to experience the growth of all the characters...the arcs of Eve and Roarke are a thing of beauty. Robb must have an amazing character bible for this couple. Her backstories for each is so layered, it is one of the main reasons she is able to keep our interest. What makes this more than the usual is Robb also spends the same care with secondary characters. When she decides to spotlight one of them, she gives us enough emotions and quirks for us to understand them as well. I started reading this series in December 2019. So far I have read 15...I may take a mini-break but I know, it won't be for long. Eve and Roarke have burrowed deep in my heart and I will be back with them soon. This series just gets better with each book. The cases are all different and interesting. But the personal relationships between the characters are what makes this series special. Eve, Roarke, Peabody, McNab, Mavis, Feeney, Trueheart have all become favorites - their own family.

This is a really convenient way to catch the older parts of the series, and I've really relied on the collections since Ive had to download from my public library. I've also left reviews for the individual books. What a GREAT series. I think the best thing about this series is that it stars a happily married couple, who still has legit arguments and disagreements but loves each other. And a kick ass woman (or two, or three, or four) who is strong and awesome.

Just gets better and better Christian Grey has nothing on Roarke who matches him in wealth, power, charisma, mystery and looks. Roarke's leg up...he's Irish. Enough said. Still Tasty It always amazes me how strong a writer J D Robb is. And how prolific —which can make her public feel both special and spoiled. Getting to read the series in an omnibus like this is a wonderful treat. One can glom onto the stories and know they are being read in order, minus a few events from the novellas. Eve and Roarke become more substantial with each book, and being able to delve in, again, and know the next one is already in your hands; nirvana. . Only Nora Roberts can weave a story that includes murder mystery, humor, and romance! She stays true to her characters with every "In Death" novel she pens under her pseudonym of J.D. Robb. . Excellent! So far this series is the only murder mystery series that I enjoy enough to read again & again. The way Eve thinks is just as fascinating to me as it is to her husband, Roarke. & the dynamics between those 2 are excellent to read also.

Plus I love the key characters and how they keep unfolding.

I completely am in love with this series! My only regret is that I can't find them all at my Libraries that I have access to! Specifically I'm looking for them in Audio books as I'm in my car a lot of the time in the day. I have one in my car, and I have a different one I listen to in my bedroom!
