I like how explanations were first provided, then different kinds of examples, and then finally questions to reinforce the newly learned topics, featuring the very colorful/bright illustrations. The activities were good, too, though a little messy. The design of the book is also well done and inviting.

Solid 4.75 It was a little complicated for the children given we didn't have the first book on hand. We need the ESSENTIAL physical science before the primary. We suggest volume numbers be added to the covers for clarity. Solid 4.75 It was a little complicated for the children given we didn't have the first book on hand. I like this book because it shows a variety of different structures and how they relate to a child's everyday life. The bright, colorful pictures are also a draw and lyrical writing make the text really fun. I would caution using this text beyond second grade as it was a little too "kiddy" for the rigor my students were used too.
