He considers kinds of bone tissue, development; effects of weight, load, stress and strain; interactions with muscle, ligaments, and tendons; development and remodeling; and effects of fracture and aging. The book is a bit technical with material and mechanical considerations, so not for a novice but nevertheless informative. Recommended for those interested in comparative anatomy and wanting in-depth information about bones beyond the basic anatomy and physiology introduction.
