By no means is this a bad book, but I definitely wanted a little more from it. The early chapters that deal with theoretical issues in scholarship around religion and film are incredibly engaging, useful, and comprehensive. Later chapters, though, read like lists of movies with illustrative examples to tie those movies to the chapter headings. They're still often informative, but end up being far less useful than a book like this would seem to want to be. Still, I enjoyed my time reading this bo By no means is this a bad book, but I definitely wanted a little more from it.
